The tweet says he wants to play for MIN. It did not say that he does not want to play anywhere else. Let the process play out.

 

We finished third in the nba last year and added paul. Minny is still unproven and young. They dont have the shooters and that can be their demise.

yeah this seems like the most likely MO, but the difference being Melo is not a free agent, and Milsap is a UFA, so the Hawks leverage is limited to teams that want Milsap, that also don't have a lot of cap space (like us, and i guess Minny too), but there's nothing to stop Milsap from taking a lucrative offer and just straight bolting. He's not gonna get the max.

Well yeah that's the reason, but you gotta keep your head even after a tough season. You have to think about how will this contract age, and it was clear that it wouldn't age very well. But Morey has always ignored long term for short term. I still think he is a great GM, don't get me wrong, but Anderson is holding us back from getting anywhere this Free Agency.

he was so inconsistent man. Nene and Gordon and some of our young guys taking the next step and even Pringles, had way more to do with that 50 win record than Anderson did. If we had spent that Anderson money on another player (or two) we would still have had 50 wins (who knows, maybe even more), and we wouldn't be hamstrung by that contract.

I think Morey is an excellent GM, but he makes mistakes. The Anderson contract was a mistake. there is no other way to say it. many of us were saying it at the time. it was a desperate signing, the kind of signing desperate and bad teams make. you don't throw $20 mil at a player like that.

 

Yeah, hate me but i'm not sure without Anderson we don't make a similar season. Some games we might have won cause he was on fire, other games we might have lost cause he was a negative on the court, especially the road/home situation...which is why we should move him anyway.

 

Road Ryan Anderson is very real..it's just the playoffs' performance that leaves a sour taste in our mouth..

tbh, if we're not getting melo, i say hold onto him for another year.

 

Anderson is not trash. If he was coming to the rockets this off season along with cp3 who wouldnt be exited about that?

Personally i was never exicted about Anderson even when there were some rumors way back when we had Asik, i just don't like him as a player, but i understand he fits here and i would've been ok in taking him once Horford screwed us, but that contract was clearly too big.
