Carmelo would be great but getting Millsap would be a great addition especially if Redick came with him though JJ is asking for way to much money right now to fit him in.
Why have Gordan and riddick? MDA will probably never have both harden & CP3 on the bench so Gordon's "playmaking" off the bench is useless We can use Gordon as the trade chip for Melo, and sign Reddick and a lengthy player like nick young to come off the bench. I just don't believe Millsap moves the needle with GS and Cavs and it's now or never. A big three of CP3/Harden/Melo will probably also bring good FA vets who want a ring to round out the bench. We are still at OKC level with Millsap
Rockets are already better than last year. People who think Beverly was a huge loss need to realize it took him along with 99 other players to be included in the trade for Paul. Rockets still have the 6th man of the Year. Harrell wasn't in the rotation. Dekker was decent but won't win you a championship. Lou can score but is a non factor in the playoffs. You say Milsap is a third option and that's exactly what the Rockets need. A third option. A fantastic third option. Anthony would definitely make the Rockets more popular but I doubt if it came down to him vs. Milsap that it would make the Rockets a better team.
lol popularity and star players seems to be the only way to compete now If we were sure Melo was gonna get bought out and come here. I'd say sigh Millsap and get Melo for cheap, that's the dream situation. I just feel like if we let Melo slip to the cavs there is no chance of winning a championship
If we didn't have Gordon then I'd be open to getting JJ but I just don't think it's worth all the complication to get him
I mean Anthony wouldn't JUST make us more popular, we'd be a much better team. Anthony, when paired with other stars, has always played very well. But without a doubt, Millsap makes us better than Melo does.

Ya cause they already kinda have a young big 3 This board is cracking me up how they disregard Melo and think Millsap & Kyle korver will allow us to compete with GS or Cavs. Without Melo to form a "big 3" other FA are gonna flock to who does have the big three. Realistically without Melo this team is kinda done. We will over pay average free agents and be a second round exit while CP3 leaves
I'd offer Ryan Anderson and capela, if they don't want Ryan find a third team. It would hurt us but what choice do we have
