Gotta have some vet role players at some point. He is a good defender and rebounds. We go through this every year at this time. If it's not a star player you guys bad mouth him. I think it's apparent that we won't get that star player until a trade comes up. Right now looks like we are trying to get that mid level and vet role player that has some skill. Build good quality depth.
For a bench player, why not? He's solid. Sneaky good +/- numbers. . Better than Harrell. I'll tell you that much.
Amir is a very efficient offensive player, like Nene. Also a solid defender, rebounder. His advanced stats, rpm, vorp are all very high for a bench player. Would love him here for part of the MLE. Can play both 4/5 so he'd be nice depth at both positions.
Pass. Not good enough to be in our playoff rotation. Very limited player, can't have those in a championship contender. At this level key bench players need to bring at least 3 skills, Amir can only rebound and defend. Someone like Gay can score, James Johnson can make plays and run the fast break. We can get Amir-level contribution with a vet minimum.
I understand we have to fill out the roster but go get the 3rd big name and then pick the vets you want on the bench. STOP WASTING TIME WITH THESE SCRUBS! They don't move the needle.
