Bolded part is definitely Gordon. I think best case scenario here is SnT for Millsap, Melo gets bought out & comes to Houston.

He doesn't make any sense in Cleveland. I think he would play there if he could, they would never trade Kevin Love for him and he knows it, also I don't see him willing to play the pf position full-time. You don't want LeBron spending all of his energy fighting for rebounds and guarding big post up players either.

If hes matured i would be ok with him, but there really is only one basketball to go around when you mention melo. Harden and cp3 are smart, but is melo?

Either we find a way for Melo & Millsap or we trade Gordan & Anderson for Melo and sign JJ. We can't let cavs get Melo or chances of ever winning are gone

Pretty much the ideal 3rd star. I think this move will easily boost the Rockets above the Spurs.

Looking at current players alone, I'm pretty sure healthy Kawhi could do decently on Kevin Durant.

If we could get Millsap, Redick, and some sort of high-motor rebounding PF behind Anderson.... LETS GO.
I'm also warming to the idea of Carmelo... someone slap me.

We will be lucky to get one of these guys. How would we get any of them and keep Anderson?

Well, #1 I'm not really being realistic, just living in the moment. Most likely we'll sign a Patrick Patterson type and some fringe bench guys. I'd prefer to let Anderson go, but I'm not sure what it will require.
#2 if Redick is interested in coming here, he's interested. Don't underestimate the CA-to-TX tax breaks. He's a UFA coming off of a $7M contract in California. Something is workable, depending on what else falls into place.
These modern day sell-out teams are made by guys making salary concessions to get some spotlight.

they can offer the same contract we can. except here he can win. dude's 32. i think he wants to win.

blake, gordon, hayward. they have time left. they dont need to win now. older guys like sap and melo will look to join the best team possible. the pecking order is warriors, cavs, boston, houston. the warriors and cavs don't have the means to realistically add millsap. the c's haven't shown interest. so its us as the #1 option. however we're waiting on melo. this is like losing out on lowry all over again. take millsap if you can get him and call it a day. don't wait around to lose out.

plus, why pay for melo when he might be able to get his buyout at some point this season?

Isola is a spreader of #fakenews

Besides... how can front-runners "emerge" with certain teams still in the mix if free agency hasn't even began yet? Lol.

We actually can't offer him jack. We can try a sign and trade but only if someone wants to absorb ryno for us. Otherwise we can't even get into the ballpark of what millsap wants. Without including ryno the best we could offer millsap would be a little north of 11 million in a sign and trade with Atlanta. Total non starter.

The Chris Paul trade took our bullets for a star level player
