I'm as SHOCKED as anyone, but I'm not gonna knock on Thunder for making a real SPLASH. They had to because Westbrook wasn't going to sign an extension without it. Also, I'm going to hold judgement unlike everyone else here who is saying "it's a one year rental" or "it's doomed to fail with Westbrick" because they feel butt hurt right now. Westbrook is still the current MVP and a top 6 player and his team just got better. That's just the truth like how Rockets got better with Chris Paul. Overall, the West got more competitive, albeit the talent now heavily consolidated among a handful of teams at the top.
I have a side hobby where I find people who say super blatantly racist comments on Facebook and then screenshot and send it to wherever they are employed
I agree. Honestly if they make good moves in free agency there is no reason they can't be a top team in the west. Nothing about our roster makes us guaranteed to be better than them right now. Have to see free agency play out.
So you don't think this is just a one year dance for George and OKC? Because you'd probably be the only one that thinks that way.
yeah if im okc i definitely do this move if i only have to give up oladipo and sabonis? wtf you have westbrook and a chance to put another premier player next to him for those two. you do it easily
Yeah but both George and Westbrrok are expiring, and George is not going to extend, Westbrook too it seems, so...why would he want to sign there?
I think you and I can agree that Houston has more going for it than OKC and I'm not even talking about the players or personnel.
agree but just from okc's perspective here. theyll likely win 50+ games and a playoff run. not too bad considering. alot can happen in a years time
Now the 2018 BKN pick just got worse. I think the Bulls, Magic and Pacers have worse rosters than Brooklyn.
We need to get another high impact player or this off season will be a disappointment in all honesty... a 32 yr old injury prone CP3 (he's still elite no doubt) for Bev.,Lou, Dekker, Harrell, & a 1st doesn't make us better than what we had last season IMO. OKC just ****ing fleeced INDY & the gap between them & us is much closer as it stands.
Even if it is one year, okc had to do this deal. What we saw from okc this season was their ceiling. This brings them up a notch and if PG leaves after this next season so be it. Olidipo and Sabonis are just role players.
