I agree but you don't think they could have managed to swing something like this? Tyller Zeller and Jaylen Brown, may have matched or even topped this with Brown just being a top 5 pick last year. I'm also not worried about OKC garnering other FA to come in... they're both gonna bounce and OKC may be left with trash unless Westbrook gets maxed out. No one will want to play with that ball hogging dynamic.
I don't get people talking like this is a nothing offer. Oladipo for all his warts is still more desirable than Eric Gordon since he's much younger with less injury issues. Sabonis is still a lottery pick one year removed. This was a good haul for Indiana given the circumstances.
Danny Ainge hater that I still am, I'm really hoping Hayward signs with Miami and we get Millsap and/or Carmelo. Let Boston fight for table scraps.
Rhyno costing us big time That's why I said never listen to idiots like larsv8 who kept saying Rhyno's contract can be moved easily and Maury had to do something with the cap space
Wow. Thunder just jumped from a #8 seed to a #5-6 with a first or second round exit. The season after next, though, they'll have a shot at #1... ...the #1 pick, that is.
I suppose so in the sense that they have nothing to lose. They weren't going anywhere with just Westbrook despite his play. Still I can't help but feel they are in the same boat as when they had Durant - two really good players in their prime, but with little hope to unload around them because of a series of short sided moves. I'm also getting the vibes OKC is going to be heartbroken again when either George or Russell and George leave. It's like getting nut thumped(Durant leaves), then have a beautiful woman walk in(Westbrook's MVP season) only to be followed up by a nut punch when two stars leave. Seems cruel...
This is such a buyer's remorse deal for okc. They gave Oladipo that big contract and him n Westbrook didn't mesh.
Celtics offer on draft night for Paul George, per league source, was 3 first-round picks (not the Nets pick next year or the Lakers/Kings pick) and two starters (Crowder being one).
They'll have a chance to do damage in the playoffs for one year and then be rid of oladipo who didn't fit with westbrook
Yay,.... Russell Westbrook and OKC once again outshine the Rockets. We are probably the better team still but this will totally overshadow the CP3 move and the Rockets will get hammered for "overpaying" for Paul.
