Great trade for both teams. Except that now Minny is trying to get Teague? WTF An overpaid soon to be 30 Teague is far worse than a 14 per Rubio in a 2 year deal.
KAT/Patton Dieng Butler Wiggins Teague/Tyus Not bad. Not great. They could actually really use Anderson as a 4/5 lol. Do they want him?
Why not Kyle Lowry? If they got Kyle, damn, that team can be scary in 1 - 2 yrs, just like the old OKC team.
Right? I wonder if they just struck out on everyone else had no choice. People underestimate how much these guys can improve defensively. They were a garbage defensive team and Thibs will at least make them good. Offensively, dropping Rubio will do wonders for them, and acquiring Butler was huge. They will definitely make the playoffs. They should've kept LaVine and sent Wiggins to Chicago for maybe a better return. LaVine is perfect as a 3rd scorer who you don't want to give decision making powers too. Wiggins imo will struggle being a 3rd scorer, his doesn't seem to be engaged when he's off-ball.
To me a guy like Hill would be better for them, Lowry is better, but they already have three very ball dominant players in Butler, Wiggins and Towns, if you add Lowry i'm not sure if that's going to last long...a guy like Beverley would've been perfect for them.
Oh lord, not Rose. COME ON THIBS YOU WERE DOING SO WELL. I guess you can't teach an old dog new tricks. He's going to waste these young guys' career. You can almost tell what he's thinking. He'll bring those trustworthy old guys in and they will teach the young guys the value of hard work. Meanwhile, KAT is the best player on that team.
cheap Rubio > overpaid Teague >>> Rose at any price. This goes for bad to worse. Is Thibs showing signs of Doc Rivers? Going after his old players even if they are not good anymore?
