With that money floating around doubt he comes unless Gordon gets traded. I'd stoll rather have Gordon tbo

    Trade gordon, ariza for millsap
    Trande non-guarantees for reddick
    Trade anderson for melo

    Sighn young and smoove

    Paul/harden
    Harden/reddick
    Melo/young
    millsap/smoove/yi
    Capela/nene

If we can somehow turn Gordon, the non-guarantees, Ryan Anderson into Millsap, reddick, and melo that would be interesting.

Considering that he might want to cash out since he hasn't really done that yet in his career, the Rockets in theory would be great leverage for Redick.

Rockets would be completely nuts to trade Ariza.

I honestly don't think he needs leverage

amazing shooter, and you can never have too many. But Gordon is cheaper and better. As long as we have Gordon, Harden and Paul, we don't need to spend that kind of crazy money on Redick.

At some point Duke Boy is gonna have to take a pay cut (like many others have) if he wants to play for a contender. But if the asking price is $16 mil, he'd have to take like $10 mil for it to be realistic for us.

If he truly wants to cash out he does. If the Rockets offer an extra year it lets his agent go to teams like Brooklyn and Philadelphia and say that they have an offer of $33MM+. Would make a 2/$35 a real possibility in one of those spots.

We would have to do a sign and trade for him something like....

Non-GTD's + Onuaku + one of the 2nd going to LAC.
He will have to take a $14-$14.5 million salary to make it work. I think he does, if it means he comes to a contender and will win.

Redick just turned 33 (6 days ago) and Eric is about 28 and a half. Age is definitely in Gordon's favor, but shooters like Redick tend to have long, effective careers (in my opinion), and he is much more durable based on the history of both players. An extra year compared to competitive bids, Texas having no income tax, and being on a contender (and we will be) could be a difference maker. That, and playing with CP3 and James. Lots of open looks. Maybe a 4 year deal starting with the $10 million-plus exception (whatever it's called!) could snag him.

Let's put ourselves in Reddick's shoes: he's going for the money.

Will not be here unless EGo is traded.
