You never heard that before... that rumor has been around... it's pretty common for players from countries with bad record keeping to downplay their age... (happens in baseball a lot too)
Redick attempted 6 threes per game last season, making 43%, and led the league the season before. Gordon shot 8.8 threes, making 37%. Redick played 3 fewer minutes per game, had a higher win share, and had a higher PER (and I know per isn't the greatest stat in the world). Redick's more durable, as justtxyank pointed out earlier. It's a tough call, but if we end up moving The Hobbit in a deal, Redick would be a heck of a replacement. Having both would be simply ridiculous and freak out the opposition. I hope we get him.
No he isn't. He's never been better than Eric Gordon a day in his career. I guaranteed New Orleans wouldn't have traded CP3 for a package centered around Reddick
Ibaka is an overrated defender, I disagree that he's better than Millsap defensively...he's better at blocking shots, but there's more to defense than that Millsap gives u a consistent 17-18 ppg...Ibaka doesn't...plus Millsap can make plays for himself and others (he averaged almost 4 apg and can create a shot for himself off the dribble) it doesn't bother me that Millsap shoots 31% from deep, he more than makes up for it with all the other things that he brings to the table Millsap won't be coming here on a max deal, he'd have to accept somewhere around 24-25 mil/yr or we move on...we could use no state taxes and the fact that he'd be playing next to Harden and CP3 as reasons to convince him to do so
We lost Lou in the CP3 deal, so makes sense to pick up Reddick to replace him. If the money works, then hell yeah.
I never said he was better. Someone asked, "Don't we already have Eric Gordon?" I was just pointing out that there's no guarantee Gordon won't be sent packing if it helps us land a bigger fish. If that happens, Reddick might suddenly seem more attractive.
If the 3rd superstar is not a viable plan, we need to get role players like JJ Riddick. Man, I can almost see this team rounding into a juggernaut. It is just that Warriors are just an impossible team...
Nothing is impossible. We can beat the Warriors with slightly less overall talent because MDA is a more creative tactician than Kerr.
