Exactly. We need to spend our money on these type players and use BAE or mins for one trick ponies to fill out the bench. You can get Morrow on a min deal if you just want a 3 pt sniper. Lets get that two-way PF or SF first to pair with James and Chris then try these mid level moves (CJ miles, 2Pat, etc)

I don't think we need him at how much he want with Gordon on the team.. Now if we use Gordon in a trade.. That opens up the possibility.

Too much overlap with him. He must be crazy to think he'll get 10+ mill.

Package Gordon in a trade for a star... Then sign JJ to fill in Gordon's role. We don't need both on the team.

We'll focus on Melo or Blake... once those chips fall if Reddick still wants in at a discount we sure would love to accommodate.

    He's not top priority though.

Millsap should be the #1 target at the PF spot

then we should be looking at guys like James Johnson on the wing

those guys are useful against GS

Reddick is nice to have but not a necessity, and guys like Korver who can shoot but can't defend will help during the regular season but will be liabilities against GS

Really don't want to lose Gordon. He is dynamic when he gets hot. Can facilitate a bit too.

We will need him as a slasher in the playoffs.

Reddick can be had without giving up EG.

JJ Reddick's PER in playoffs was < 0 He was probably the worst starting player ever in playoffs history. But as a joker from bench in regular season he would be nice.

I'd take him for the minimum .... $16 million? realistically we can't afford to pay him anywhere close to that.... nowhere even close to half probably unless they want to use the MLE on him

Rather have Ibaka, who is 8 years younger, and cheaper.

Millsap is 32 and Ibaka is allegedly 27 (could be older) so Idk where you're getting 8 years younger from

Ibaka will still cost u like 20 mil/yr, and he's not on Millsap's level as a player

NBA teams believe Serge Ibaka is older than listed age?
    June 29, 2017
    by Darryn Albert

An odd wrinkle may be complicating Serge Ibaka’s free agency this summer.

In an appearance on Bleacher Report’s “The Full 48” podcast earlier this week, ESPN’s Zach Lowe said that some NBA teams apparently believe the three-time All-Defensive First Teamer may actually be older than he is listed.

“Look, as uncomfortable as it is to say that, the league, not the league office, teams believe that [Ibaka] is older than his listed age,” said Lowe. “So whether he is or not, or what are the ethical issues of saying that, I don’t know. But it affects the free agency market for him.”

Ibaka is officially listed as 27 years old with a date of birth of September 18, 1989. But his decline in production these last few seasons has been curious, especially for a player who should only now be entering his prime.

The Congolese big man is an unrestricted free agent this offseason and is one of the top options available at the power forward position. But now questions about his age to go on top of questions about his role may be enough to scare off a prospective suitor or two.

Would like to have him, but unless he takes the MLE, he'll be a casualty of Morey having to keep the powder dry for a third star.

I like the idea of adding JJ Reddick as someone who wants to be here than chasing Paul George who may not. Would definitely want to understand what it would take for the finances to work. Also, now we have to understand that we have Chris Paul, someone who has spent his entire career getting guys like JJ Reddick to have career years. Also he and Ryan Anderson are close friends, which would indicate what already may be understood that Houston cannot trade Ryan Andersons contract and h is staying.

Total guess. Point being, Millsap is older.

He also shoots 31% from deep, where as Ibaka shot closer to 40%.

And Ibaka plays better defense, and is a better rim protector.

And $20m is a lot less than $34m.

    3P% per zone
    per NBA.com ..........Left Corner...........................Right Corner...................Above the Break.................
    Gordon........................40.9.........................................30.4....................................37.5.........................
    Redick..........................57.6.........................................35.9....................................41.5.........................

I would trade for one another. JJ would kill it in D'Ant offense.
