Clearly, Ryan wants this to work- why wouldn't he? Yet, he has had to criticize him several times in spite of the fact that it is assuredly the last thing he wants to do. What you fail to understand is that there are people in the Republican party who are both conservatives and decent human beings. Paul Ryan is one of them. Lindsay Graham is another. Several of them are. And because they are decent human beings, they cannot and will not go along with President Trump when he says or does stupid, inappropriate things. What is really shocking is when people accept this behavior from President Trump- you know, people like you. That's called having no soul.
