What if James turns Paul into a strip club fanatic and he ends up divorcing his wife?

Huge question mark going into the season.

CP3 definitely makes the Rockets a better team not to mention this is really a 1 year rental so can trade him later if it doesn't work.

    but con's are:
    1. Who handles the ball during crunch time?
    2. Will Harden be effective off the ball?
    3. Who's team is this? Ego issues and Personality Clashes.
    4. As much as it's a pro, it's also a con as it's really just a 1 year rental on CP3.

Personality issues. CP3 is a bull on the court and can be real demanding of what he wants out of his teammates. How will CP3 react when Harden takes plays off on the defensive end?

I think the way Paul gets on other players could backfire. Again Harden wanted Paul here so thats a plus, but at least from what I've seen during his time here Harden has been pretty 'coddled' as a player by the coaching staff and front office. Paul is going to hold everyone to the same high standards.

Yeah, that concerns me, too, although at the same time I think the team could use someone who demands accountability. Paul seems to have alienated some of his old teammates but you look at the Warriors and supposedly a big part of their dynamic is that Draymond kicks everyone in the ass if he thinks they're slacking. It could go either way, I guess.

Harden playing off ball is the biggest problem

I mean he can be unselfish, but that doesn't mean he will do anything other than stand there

A lot of it has to do with the make up of the other players. Draymond can get away with it with Durant because Durant is a cupcake! j/k Draymond can get away with it because he is the heart and soul of that Warriors team. He brings the swagger and they were almost back to back champs without Durant so when Draymond is yelling at you its coming from a place of success. Also when the guy who is busting out his tail more so than anyone else on the court you dont have much room to talk.

Now Paul has had less postseason success compared to Harden. One thing though he does share with Draymond (and Beverley for that matter) is that he busts his ass out there every play. Not many guys are like that and Paul is speaking as a sure fire HOF player. That commands respect too. I think Harden is the type of player who will listen but it cant be from a guy like Beverley or even Ariza it needs to be from another star who can go toe to toe with him. Howard was never going to be that guy. And to be honest I don't know if Harden even wanted Howard here that was more of a Morey move to replicate a Yao/TMac scenario. Harden wanted Paul here which is a very large factor in the dynamic of their relationship.

Paul is at an age where I believe he understand its Harden's team but he is going to have to continue playing the role of coach on the floor.

I don't have too much bad to say about it.

My main concern is that the Rockets are not improving their defense at the 4 and 5.

The Warriors are not only loaded with talent but they are loaded with DEFENSE, especially in their front court.

You can't expect to beat the Warriors with just talent alone.

You have to have players who can play consistent defense against a behemoth like the Warriors.

The Cavs are a prime example of a team with extreme talent but little defense and remember what happened to them in the NBA Finals.

The Rockets might be a little better next season but don't expect a championship or even challenge the Warriors until they improve their INTERIOR DEFENSE.

Combine CP3's untimely injury history with his strong personality and Harden's love to shoot the 3 ball. I actually can't wait to see how this plays out, BOTH players are fully capable of playing off the ball. It just remains to be seen how much Paul can motivate Harden to play defense more consistently. Maybe this trade finally makes Houston an ideal location to have the likes of Kyle Korver and other vets to sign the minimum salary to come here and round out our team roster.

I used to always cringe whenever we played New Orleans or the Clippers because Paul was such a deadly pure shooter from the 3, now I can finally root for him on our team.

Another negative could be that our team gets firmly established at Flop City.. We all know Paul embellishes contact as much as Harden does. Not to say they don't need to to get the refs attention some times...

Oh, I have another one. The league has a split decision on who should be MVP, Harden or CP3, then ultimately decides to just give another one to Westbrook.

I did some stat checking on PG13 vs Melo and shooting. I think PG13 is a far better or at least far more efficient shooter.
