Harden has leadership issues that will come under scrutiny with a vocal player like Paul who is now Harden's equal in superstardom level.

Either Harden learns and goes through a maturation process under mentorship from Paul or this becomes one big soap opera drama.

Harden has been very coddled and insulated from criticism by Morey and Les because he's the cornerstone of the franchise. However, his disappearance act in multiple playoff series has to be addressed at some point. Maybe less strip clubs and more gym time especially in the postseason.

Harden won't get a chance to win MVP anymore.

    Maybe on the defensive end?

I think the Rockets gave up to much for a 32 yr old player. When I read what the Spurs would have to give up in order to sign him as a Free Agent I thought ...how good are we going to be with Kawai and a 32 yr old Paul with a bunch of role players? Now if Paul would have signed as a FA with the Rockets team intact... that's a different story...

anyway... tough to guard these 2 in a pick n roll... with shooters around them.... yikes!

On another note I still don't think they, or anyone else, can compete with GS after this move... add paul George??? Makes things awfulyl interesting...

oh look a typical response from someone that follows a team that cp3 declined to join

how boring... do you feel good that the Rockets lost so many good players? Chris Paul is an elite player, maybe the best PG in the league...

but what exactly can a team of these 2 and role players accomplish? will they be able to challenge the Warriors?

He wasn't as valuable as Danny Green, Patty Mills, Lamarcus Aldridge, and Tony parker...so I'm glad they they got bailed out with him being traded... all of my friends feel the smae way I do...

    try and answer skippy

does the season start tomorrow? rockets are far from being done.

lets see we lost a defensive guard that needs to feed off another player to be effective, a volume scorer that was added for the sole purpose of doubling down on a playoff run just to see what happens who is redundant when you still have the 6th man of the year and better player, dekker/harrell who didn't even play. I fail to see the problem of giving too much for a cp3 and find it extremely puzzling for anyone that understands the game fully to think otherwise.

Losing Beverly is a big deal... Paul is 100 times the player Beverly is but that dude was defensive terror... glad he's gone to be honest...

So many good players? I going to really miss Beverley but Paul is a clear upgrade. Harrell fell out of D'Antoni's rotation for some reason and Dekker, although a nice player, is hardly irreplaceable. Morey finds good undervalued players like them as a matter of course. Even if the Rockets aren't able to make any other big moves, on paper they're still looking better than they did last year, if only because they finally have a guy who can reliably run an offense if Harden is having one of those games.

so you at least acknowledge that right now the bench is non existent..but hey you know the game!... you do realize they can't play 48 minutes a game ...right?

I'm really trying to not insult your intelligence because all of the other Rockets fans on this board will assume I'm talking about all of them...

Good players as a group... maybe I should have said good contributing players ...

I agree about Morey... he's playing chess while everyone else is trying to open the checkers box to start playing.... The Rockets may become a destination and an option for other veteran ring chasers...

The main negative is that we still haven't traded James Harden yet!

Main problem is one of the 2 is James Harden.

No top flight guard or wing wants to play second fiddle to him.

CP3 will likely refuse to play.

that's the rest of league's problem to a certain extent... Igoudala would seem to be a good fit now with the Rockets....
