great question. I can't speak for his time in New Orleans, but in his time with the Clippers, Doc never pushed him or forced him to play outside of his natural pace. Doc's main concern was to keep Paul happy, so there was little direct confrontation between those two. Do you think MDA would confront him if things aren't panning out?
Then if that was already discussed with Harden, expect the same with Paul, whom is older than Harden. There's our answer. Hopefully, you guys can get a bit of a lead on GSW in the standings in order to get adequate rest for the players.
Hmm, interesting. Well, I'm going to hope that we get a lot of the Rockets games aired on the west coast so I can see how the line ups work.
the chris paul rockets twitter video featured: Harden Paul Ariza Capela Gordon It did not feature anderson. Interesting.
Well, that's true. This is a major reason why many Clippers fans want Doc to get fired. I am excited to get Beverly and Williams, but in the end these guys may not see much play time because Doc will give his son more minutes while other sit on the bench.
Beverly seems like he definitely gets committed to a team doesn't he? I'm already liking his attitude
i don't think either of those guys will be in LA that long either. they're good pieces in trades, especially for picks
Re: pace, that was one of the items Schuhmann pointed out... [NBA.com] John Schuhmann - June 28, 2017 - Houston Rockets get Chris Paul, but how will he mesh with James Harden in Mike D'Antoni's system? "Paul will also have an adjustment to make if the Rockets want to continue playing at a fast pace. The Rockets have been in the top three in pace three times (and no lower than seventh) in Harden's five seasons in Houston. Paul's teams have ranked in the top 10 in pace only once (2013-14 Clippers) and above the league average only one other time ('14-15 Clippers)."
Man, I've been wanting this guy to be on our team right after I saw the way he frustrated Stephen Curry. The first thing I thought was "this is the type of guy we need."
MDmA isn't your typical czar. I don't think the typical czar has a place in today's society. I really think that flexibility between the main three, Harden/Paul/MDA, is everything. So confrontation is the exact opposite of my expectation. Especially during the year. So why confront Paul if you're MDA? The goal is just winning, so everyone involved should be thinking in those terms. Personality is separated if you care about team. I don't get the confrontation thing. Winning makes it unnecessary.
Schumann has pointed out something significant. This is something that I mentioned in Paul's game in response to one of the posts requesting an anaysis of his game. Again, having watched this guy live at Staples, I can say part of what makes Paul an efficient guy is that he slows the pace down and controls the ball. If he is pushed to play at a faster pace, those turn-overs will go up, and the stats on Paul will take a dip. A very good article by Schumann
2 years....just 2 more years and we can try and sign Beverly back and get him to retire here. 2 god damn years.
