All reports and sources claim Ariza and CP3 are close so 100% sure he is staying. Do people really think he'd accept a bench role? I don't see it...
Chris Paul wants to win, sure he'd be cool with Ariza staying, but if he gets traded for an upgrade, it's not going to bother him. People seem to really overestimate how important these things are.
only players that would push ariza to the bench would be PG13 or hayward. if so, ariza would be fine off the bench imo. he hasn't showed to be selfish during his time here in the last several years
So you're saying if Ariza has to be moved to add PG13 they'd say no thanks?? Cmon. He's most likely staying belief he's not untouchable. CP3 wants to win a ring. As does Harden.
False. CP3 wanted to come to play with Harden. Ariza hasn't been mentioned in trades because he's so versatile plus his contract is a splash in the pan compared to what wings get now a days. He will most likely stay because of those two reasons, but as others stated if its between Ariza and *insert star player here* they're going with option 2. Guaranteed.
Exactly. Harden got both Howard and Paul here. Without him they wouldn't even think about coming to Houston regardless what Parsons and Ariza said.
Haha, why would he need to accept a bench role? We're not landing Paul George, Hayward is either Utah Miami or Boston, and its appearing Melo will stay in NY (also he'd play PF for us if it ever came to that)
Actually you are wrong, it has been reported that both Ariza and Brown were part of Paul's recruiting process. Of Course Harden is the MAIN reason he came here, but it does seem those two also played an important role convincing Paul, and there is reason to believe they are staying, at least for a while longer. One reason is the Rockets had three great recruiters who were in Paul’s ear to come to Houston: Harden, starting small forward Trevor Ariza and reserve point guard Bobby Brown. There are levels to this stuff, as Harden and Paul are members of the NBA elite world and have been friends for a while. Who knows what they have been talking about behind the scenes? Ariza and Brown are also former New Orleans Hornets teammates of Paul’s, and they remain close friends. https://theundefeated.com/features/james-harden-helped-sell-chris-paul-on-houston-rockets/
Nope, you're still wrong. If it weren't for his eagerness to come and play with Harden, the begs and pleads of Bobby, Whitney, and Trevor wouldn't have mattered two sh*ts. I mean who doesn't wanna play with this.???
You are totally missing the point. Its is obvious that without Harden there is no Paul, that doesn't need to be clarified, but the thread is about whether Ariza stays or not, and since Ariza is friends with Paul and "helped" recruiting him it is very likely that he wont be traded.
do i see a 'three straight years-overworked' ariza taking a bench role? duh, yeah. he cant be the starting sf. if he is at least cut his minutes to low 30s. he's not 25 years old
Yea, obviously....they are all staying right up until they realize their final potential as an asset.
