13. The Pacers are telling teams they plan to keep Paul George if they can't receive a deal that they really like. No one believes Indiana will actually go into the regular season with George. Once the season begins, the longer they wait to deal George -- the more his value goes down. The Pacers want young players and picks, not a veteran such as Kevin Love.

14. The Cavs still want George, and they remain in the same position of trying to find a place to trade Love to gain picks/players who would appeal to Indiana.

15. Houston suddenly is pursuing George. The Rockets don't know if pairing Chris Paul with James Harden will work, but they decided to try it. They know their current roster wasn't good enough to beat Golden State, so they decided to make a dramatic change. Now, they want to add George to the mix.

16. I hear a player the Pacers do like is Gary Harris, a shooting guard from Denver. Many analytics-driven teams have a high value on the 6-foot-4 guard, who averaged 14.9 points for the Nuggets last season. He shot 50 percent from the field, 42 percent on 3-pointers.

17. Indiana is not looking for a big man. They have Myles Turner and they picked UCLA's T.J. Leaf in the first round. He is a 6-foot-10 forward.

18. The Nuggets do like Love. But they want to make the playoffs. They want to add Love to their roster with Harris, not trade Harris. But keep an eye on what Denver does with Harris. He could be the key to any team acquiring George.

19. Denver also is supposed to be interested in power forward Paul Millsaps. If he joins Denver, forget that as a landing spot for Love.​

 

I would want Blake Griffin to join the Rockets or Paul George.

 

Lebron didn't join an already stacked team which is what KD did which is what Lebron would be doing.

 

Amin Elhassan's opinion is that Houston is the best landing spot for PG -- that having two of the best playmakers in Harden and CP3 feeding him the ball, his life won't be any easier.

My take Is that Amin could have said that to just about any other player joining the Rockets right now. Lol

sure he did. he joined a still mvp caliber sg wade and brought one of the best bigs in the league with him all in their still primes. same intention at the end of the day. then he repeated it again going back to clev. same intentions, especially when he got clev to dump wiggins for love

Hezonja's nickname is "The Beast" that codman uses in his post. Plus he is the most disgruntled and "young"... what doesn't fit is saying he's a "scoring machine," remains merely his draft day potential and speculation still.

I also read that as Codman mentioning ORL merely as an example and NOT something he heard. Codman likes to mix in his own personal ideas along with what he's heard, that is he likes to add speculation on top of his own real info....like we do.

Carmelo Anthony's future? Jackson is gone. So is the triangle offense, presumably. So it would be safe to assume that Carmelo is in a Knicks uniform at the start of next season. But there are still plausible scenarios that put Anthony in another city next season. The Knicks at this time have no appetite to buy out, waive or stretch Anthony (ESPN’s Marc Stein reported that Anthony’s camp requested a buyout).

So the only way Anthony leaves New York at this point is via trade. One team to keep an eye on is the Houston Rockets. ESPN’s Tim MacMahon reported that the Rockets feel they can acquire either Anthony or Paul George (or maybe both?). Would Anthony waive his no-trade clause to go to Houston? That’s unclear. His relationship with Rockets coach Mike D’Antoni was strained, at best, when D’Antoni left New York.

But new Rocket Chris Paul was telling friends recently that he’d like to play with Anthony, his close friend, per league sources. Can Houston put together a package that entices the Knicks? Ryan Anderson is said to be available in a trade but his salary is onerous for a team like New York that wants to rebuild. Anderson is under contract for another three years at about $20 million per year.

Given all the parameters at play, Melo to Houston seems like a long shot. It’s worth noting that, had Paul stayed with the Clippers, the Knicks and Clippers had discussed a trade involving Anthony for a package that included Austin Rivers, Jamal Crawford and a future first-round pick, league sources told ESPN. It’s unclear if Anthony would have waived his no-trade clause to join the Clippers in this scenario. The guess here is that Anthony remains in New York but the possibility that he leaves is certainly not dead at this point.​
