QUOTE="malakas, post: 11164386, member: 59280"]It's because other people don't think that an all star, all nba He was last an All Star when? 2 years ago? Before getting injury prone? superstar is just an "injury prone old man".[/QUOTE]
No excitement here giving up Pat and our 1st and second round picks of Sam and Trez, along with our 1st round pick next year and our defensive player Bev, as well as Wiltjer for another guard who was once an All Star. We traded youth and height and rim protection for another guard who is past his prime. Ugh
He played 61 games this year and 74 last year. He was first team all defence this year and would have been an all star AGAIN, (like he was in 2016- u know 1 year ago not 2 ) , if he wasn't out during the ASG. He is a superstar and a top 15 player in the league. Sorry but you are like the idiot who is gifted a donkey and looks at his teeth.
we traded role players and assets with minimal value for a point gawd and top 10 player, that's what Morey did today
a defensive player who needs another guard to be effective, 2 picks that barely played, 1st round pick next year that will be at the bottom, an guard off the bench that was redundant when we still have the 6th man of the year for a top 10 player that plays both end of the court. fail to see how this is bad. amazing some severe lack of the bball iq around here
How can you not see that you're listing out the most optimistic description of what we traded and the most pessimistic description of what we acquired? Do you feel like you're evaluating this correctly? We did not trade the best version of our assets for the worst version of Chris Paul. We traded the average version of our assets for the average version of Chris Paul.
We traded a bunch of role players for the best pure pg in the NBA. Who gives a damn if he didn't make a meaningless all star game this year. The guy is still an elite player and will help this team out tremendously.
I can't believe some of y'all are mad at trading away a bunch of role players for our second superstar. We aren't going to beat golden state with "youth" and "potential".
I remember from Moreys AMA that someone asked him for his version of the best starting 5 of all time. Two names stuck out to me: The Dream at center and CP3 at point.
Two of the most complete players at their position, not unsurprising. My dream team would be: C: Dream PF: Bird SF: LBJ SG: Jordan PG: Stockton/PG3
Just wanna highlight that the assets we traded wouldn't have been enough to get us into the lottery of any recent draft, even the bad ones.
