    Someone will trade something for Melo, especially if he gets off to a good start under a different offense now that Philicia isn't forcing them to play triangle.

    Morey has picked up some extra bodies not needed for the CP3 trade - Shawn Long, Ryan Kelly. He's trying to get enough salaries to add to Ryno's to trade straight up for Melo.

    Don't think some of y'all understand this. Carmelo as option #1 would be a horrible fit for us. Carmelo as an option 2/3/4 (similar to how he plays for Team USA) will be a home run get for us. I'm all for getting Melo if he can get that buyout.

    Exactly. It seems many here haven't bothered to watch the Team USA version of Melo. That guy is awesome. Swishing 3s and slashing to the rim against guys that can't hope to guard him. You couldn't ask for a better fit if he's willing to be a 3rd wheel.

    I think more than $6M a year less, and just to move on from Melo of course. Having Melo in their lineup guarantees them at least 30 wins a year - not optimal for tanking.

    Chris Paul is still a top 10 guy so he is still elite. Melo stopped being elite a couple years ago but I think he can still contribute on a stacked roster.

    there isn't anything really cloudy there. Melo is no longer an elite player. elite players are people you actually build around and show you can win games and achieve some sort of success on a consistent basis. Is he still a good player? sure he is but elite no. unless your definition of elite stretches out to that wide of a range of players

    Would he be a great 3rd option or below next to the likes of a cp3/harden. of course. no brainer imo
