Same here. When asked about Paul, he was almost overly diplomatic and stayed out of it. Doc Rivers locked DeAndre in a house to keep him, but succumbed to Paul trade so quickly. I think West didn't dictate anything, but he wanted to let it happen. Not a bad decision if you ask me. They were not playing for each other anymore, and the best player of the bunch is 32. They got great assets, and they can get a good pick for Jordan, and they can get great assets for Griffin if he complies too. They could come out of this with a clean cap, the ability to acquire a half dozen first rounders, and their own picks whenever that is in the future. Plus they are in LA, have an owner willing to spend unlimited money, moving to a new arena by the time they become relevant again, and will have gotten rid of Doc (if West has any say).
Congrats to Daryl Morey. Never thought this would actually happen. I was wrong. Will definitely miss Beverley though. Very easy player to root for.
Morey has wanted cp3 for as long as he has been in the league. He was close to getting him last time he was a FA I heard.
False. We are shedding all these assets to give Paul super max. No other reason, as he had already committed to signing with us. He has 100% agreed to an extension, is what it looks like.
Everyone is saying that Harden won't like CP3 in his ear but I think the Harden would like someone else to take the bulk of the leadership on the team. He was open to letting Howard have some leadership when he signed on, but Howard was a horrid leader. Paul is a great leader.
Yeah, but we have his bird's right so we can resign him to his super max next off season. He will be making more money this way, believe it or not. But it also makes the Rockets big players in 2018 as well. They can go hard after a big time FA with cap space then resign Paul using his bird's rights even if they are over the cap.
