Daryl Morey is a god. We all need to be thankful and lucky that we have this man leading our organization.
Rockets are in midst of painting salary-cap manipulation masterpiece and there's a horde of teams involved or trying to get involved. Twitter Brian Windhost from ESPN.. Damn I love Darel MOrley
Upping the risk factor and this needed to be done in any case Btw, the Woodlands realtor story was probably true
I am amazed at how many posters are unhappy or at least skeptical about this trade. We just got one of the best PG's of the last decade, its a good day, learn to enjoy it for **** sake! People complaining that Paul is old, that he wont pair well with Harden, that he makes too much money blah blah blah. All trades carry a risk, that is just the way it is, nothing is 100% guaranteed, we could get freaking Lebron and it wouldn't mean we would win it all, he could get injured, he could just no gel well here, whatever!! A lot of negative things could happen that could screw up even the safest of bets, but if you have the opportunity to acquire a player of this stature you ****ing do it and hope for the best!! This is why some of you dont deserve to have nice things.
Definitely a good trade for the Clips, but man it really works out for us as well since it allows us to operate over the cap and we get the biannual and MLE. So we should be able to bring in one legit role player and another so-so player.
The only piece I don't understand giving up was our first round pick. The rest you had to give up for salary matching purposes (look at all the hoops we had to jump through!) but I can't believe the Clippers would have been like "Nah, we won't take back these 4 NBA players for a guy who is leaving anyway unless give us a first rounder!"
