This allows CP3 to sign max here and we can go over salary cap correct? Should make moving anderson and signing FA much easier.

Honestly, the more I think about this the more it pisses me off in terms of value.

Chris Paul told the Clippers he was leaving. I could understand wanting to work a sign and trade to make it happen to hold his bird rights and what not, but geez did we REALLY have to give up the first round pick? Damn lol.

Clippers got a TON of value here. They could probably deal Bev for a 1st and maybe Lou for a first, worst a 2nd and same for Sam.

That's a TON to give up for a guy who told the Clippers he was leaving.

    @Clutch am I nuts here?

George would be ideal but so many other teams are after him. Compared to george, cp3 was relatively an easy target. Now that we exhausted much trade cards for cp3, i am not sure if we will be able to get anyone

ESPN is pissed! CP3 went from being the Golden boy to a Rocket.. oh boy.

Remember how the media pretty much gave CP3 a pass for not getting past the 2nd round.. that's over now..

Wow. Exciting trade. I wonder how his contract situation will play out. I'm sure he'll get his max.

I doubt Blake wants to play with CP3 and vice versa....

I don't even want Blake, he was like my "No one else is there, get him."

CP3 though...that's big man...I think that opens us up to many more FAs...maybe even Lebron if the Cavs do nothing again...wouldn't playing with his pal not seem even a little attractive? I mean, pipedream here...but yeah.

The biggest problem with Lawson is that he was burnt up when he got here. He wasn't moving well, feet were in cement, and his shot was totally broken. Plus he was a bad defender.

Chris Paul is an elite defender and an elite shooter.

This might be more shocking than the harden trade

Just to be clear: Daryl Morey traded Bev, Corey Brewer (Lou Williams) a late 1st and Sam Dekker for Chris freaking Paul.

I think it all depends on what these FA's want. Is it all about money for them, or do they want to make a serious run at dethroning GSW?

If PG isn't an option, I can see a possible Milsap S&T.

At this point, I'd put nothing past Morey being able to make more happen.

to get a top 3 point guard for lou, bev and sam is a steal. Wow. We kept Eric for now and hopefully will get a taker for ryno to sign Millsap

Defensively, I love what CP3 brings and perhaps the Rockets finally have someone who can hold Harden accountable on that end.

Offensively, CP3 is more than competent off the ball (imo) and could certainly spell Harden, who was probably overused in that aspect last season.

I didn't watch CP3 and Harden play together on the USA Basketball team. I assume their chemistry must have been good?
