Phil achieved what he wished for, getting fired to get the money and be free to nap as much as he wants.

I wonder what happens now with Melo's buyout.

Porzig was the only good move he made. Noah, Lee and a host of other bad deals pretty much sealed his fate

Dumars went and got Rashweed Wallace, Billups , Ben Wallace and built that no nonsense culture of defense with the champion Pistons. He needs to clean house and change the culture from top to bottom.

LOL. Didn't Dolan give Jackson a contract extension only a few months back?

This tenure really hurt Phil's legacy, never implemented any real philosophy and couldn't assemble a meaningful roster.
His shots at Melo and Porzingis are something that would've gotten every no-name GM fired immediately, unaccapetable behaviour that hurt the franchise.

He's also the same dude drafted Milicic second ahead of Bosh, Melo and Wade, and then later he traded all of that bad boys 2.0 roster to clear cap space then used all of that on Charlie Villanueva and some other dude I forgot, I mean think about it if the Rox spent all their cap on Ryan Anderson and Eric Gordon and the 13 other guys had rookie contracts and vet mins. Pistons also never drafted anybody good during his tenure, Pistons had several lotto/high 1st round picks but wasted them on guys like Austin Daye, Rodney White, Mateen Cleaves...I honestly don't even know these guys I had to look them up because I can't remember anybody he drafted that turned out amazing.

Dumars got his rep from the Bad boys 2 rebuild but considering every other move he made after that was horrible I think it was just a lucky move, hiring him would be typical Dolan move and we get to see another couple of years of New York NBA comedy.

If Dolan is serious about not interfering then he should sign up Sam Hinkie as soon as his moratorium is over and ask him to implement "The Process" in NYC. New Yorkers pride themselves for being one of the most knowledgeable fans around, they should be able to stomach The Process on their road to relevance again.

I agree about Hinkie. They need a complete rebuild. The problem is keeping Porzinges satisfied in the rebuild.

Porzingis is young and loves NYC, he would definitely be satisfied with a rebuild. The reason he is frustrated is Knicks were in no man's land and PJ was antagonizing both him and Melo. With Melo on the team NYC should be built to win now but they sucked, that's why Porzingis was frustrated but if they had a young core or had high lotto picks then he wouldn't go ballistic because at least they had a direction.

Jackson: I just want to say one word to you. Just one word.
    Hornacek: Yes, sir.
    Jackson: Are you listening?
    Hornacek: Yes, I am.
    Jackson: Triangles.

wonder how quickly that goes away now.
