I thought his first call was super tough and likely the right call. This second one? I would've sent the runner. That said, if he got thrown out, everyone would've been pissed about "taking the bat out of Springer's hands". And no amount of "it took the perfect sequence of events" would've worked to assuage the hate. Pettis will never win.

I agree, not sure if that's more on Marwin for being slow or Pettis for not giving him a chance. It was bullet off the wall and straight into the CFs glove.
Bregman is without a doubt the biggest disappointment of 2017. I have hope that this is just the dreaded sophomore slump, but sheesh he's been awful.
