Fiers looks to have especially nasty stuff tonight. His turnaround is one of the more remarkable ones I can remember in-season. Totally night and day.
And very welcome at the time it occurred with every other starter out for a period of time. He easily could have been done after being demoted but he took advantage of the situation and has become a force for this team.
Manaea was all over the place that inning. Altuve screwed up the inning two ways by first being overzealous swinging at the first pitch after the walk to Springer and then trying to still on the first pitch to Correa. Altuve is a sub par player at home. Doesn't make sense.
Don't attempt to make sense out of our dumbass base running.. just hope the bats connect like always. Our offense is one-note but effective.
