I agree, especially if Cleveland ends up getting Melo and/or Wade during the season. I mean, obviously they're not stars anymore, but they're still way better than James Jones, RJ or other scrubs/retired players the Cavs had on the bench lately.
Strong market for Olynyk might mean there's at least a decent market for Anderson...at least i hope so.
PG isn't coming, or if he is, he isn't staying. He wants to form a super team in LA with Klay and LeBron.
Why would he not? He has like one of the fastest growing pizza companies in the country. Imagine taking that to LA. We aren't just talking his NBA salary, were talking endorsements and kickers like we've never seen. There's so much money to be made, especially considering if the four of them teamed up together. Or maybe he'll stay in Cleveland, with a mediocre roster, and no chance of beating GS because your team has no assets and are in salary cap Hell. Tough call...
Man. Can anyone imaging the absurdity of the conferences if Lebron made his way to the West? You'd have the Lebron-Paul George Lakers, the Kawhi Spurs, the sell-out Warriors, the Harden Rockets, the Marc Gasol Grizzlies, the Westbrook Thunder, the rising Jazz, the Towns-Butler Timberwolves, the Anthony Davis Pelicans, the Lillard Blazers... In the east you'd have... The Dwight Howard Bobcats? The Carmelo Knicks? The Lavine Bulls? The Wall Wizards? The Derozan Raptors? Lolzzzzzz
Honestly, I don't think Chris Paul really plans to come here. I think he is trying to get LA to get the players he wants gone removed and the players he wants in acquired. This is the same kind of thing he pulled when he forced them to get Doc Rivers. Used us then too. I have never really liked that guy on or off the court. Besides, if he did leave and come to Houston, the LA media machine would be so pissed that they would do anything to smear his and Houston's name. They would paint the phrase "FLOP BROTHERS" all over the place whenever they could and talk about how they'll never beat the "SPLASH BROTHERS". Blah, Blah, Blah it would make the season unbearable due to all the hate.
Source? I read nothing about the Lakers. There's not a single basketball fan anywhere that would try to argue Cleveland's roster next season will be better than a hypothetical Ball/Thompson/PG/LeBron lineup. Nobody is competing with that except Golden State.
lol. oops, typing too many teams. Maybe I still subliminally assume that Harden is on the Spurs payroll, after the last Rockets game I watched.
Priority #2 is to get George to Houston because it kind of scares me..... Dude says he wants to win. Then says he wants to go to LAL. On top of that he thinks he is a 1A superstar when clearly he is a 1B superstar that has to be someones Robin to actually find his true potential. I think his ego is too big to play second fiddle to Paul and Harden and will dip the first chance he gets... this scares me.
Steins latest article about Chris Paul says we remain in the "heart" of the Paul George trade discussions
HAHAHAHa. Holy crap. This really drives it home, how lopsided the conferences are. They seriously need to do something.
Yeah next CBA needs a rule about eastern conference teams hiring stupid personnel personnel people the time
