He didn't have much of a choice. That's why we need a replacement for Anderson.

MDA well done! Most of us were pretty skeptical about the hire, but he certainly showed us he is a genius. Speech was spot on and I really liked that he didn't call out any single player for recognition--smart. We've got us a good one, now we need Morey to go out there and earn Executive for 2017-18 and get us a team to compete for the trophy.

i'm happy for any recognition anybody in our organization gets... hopefully it helps our recruiting, etc...

but let's not act like that trainwreck of a playoffs didn't happen...
between 7 man rotations and an inability to have any impact on how game 6 went... let's be thankful it was a regular season award.... jus sayin...

Having MDA is the best thing happen this season, still mediocre GM as usual.
After listening to his speech and his history, I really think we don't deserve to have him.
Hope our management team can transform to his classic level.

Ha. This will be interesting for the Harden D'Antoni dynamic. In any case, I am still a D'Antoni hater until he brings home some hardware.

Congrats to MDA and the Rockets brass for getting the coaching choice right (finally).
I personally hated his appointment, but have come around to him completely.
Now I just hope we can take another step towards finally winning another championship.

Deserved it, but agree that he went full on McHale in the playoffs. Heck, McHale even trusted more players than MDA.

Thank you Uncle Le$ for finally taking the coaching decision from the mediocre Maury who insisted on getting rid of Adleman and then hiring doofus idiot McFail and extending his sorry ass. Along with BJ Brewerstaff and chris Finch

Mike's a really nice guy...deserves a title...It would be nice if the best player has a little more 'dog' in him...

Les gave McHale the extension. He even said so: "I didn't want him to become a free agent." This has been pointed out but it doesn't seem to dent those who want to blame Morey for everything.
