"great achievements are never achieved alone" - kd would certainly know. people say kd is weak. history proves he was. kd starts trolling people about how right they were.
History will go... Jordan --> Kobe --> LeBron --> ??? Durant will be a footnote in there somewhere. Even if he wins multiple titles, the current era belongs to Curry for his evolution of the game. All the kids want to be like Curry, not Durant.
Y'all remedial trolls need to sing a new tune. This **** is pathetically old news. Dudes is lame. KD the man, wanted a new atmosphere and got a chip, get the f@ck over it ladies.
This is...odd? Shouldn't they want him to sign first since they have no bird rights and they need to sign him into cap space? If they resign Iggy, Livingston, Zaza first they won't have enough cap space to resign him...
Man, if KD somehow left Warriors that would be great, wont care for who, he could go to Nets for all i care, won't happen sadly.
Well, that's pretty much the reason why he won't commit early. He's basically trying to make sure the team is still a super team before he puts his name on the dotted line. We all know KD has no interest playing for a team that wasn't stacked from top to bottom.
They don't need bird rights to sign him. He's going to take the standard "last year + standard percentage increase" deal that any team can offer their free agents.
But can the Warriors afford all these guys? A: That's a question for owner Joe Lacob, but his comments recently have generally reflected a position of yes, at least in the short term. Next season the Warriors are scheduled to pay Klay Thompson $17.8 million and Draymond Green $16.4 million. Including the other players they have under contract, adding Durant and Curry at the deals above would kick the Warriors' payroll to about $106 million before dealing with free agents Shaun Livingston, Andre Iguodala, Zaza Pachulia, Ian Clark and David West. They don't have Bird rights on Pachulia or West, but they do on the other players and therefore could pay them. The rest is a matter of negotiation and stomaching luxury taxes, which the Warriors will certainly be paying as the threshold is $119 million next season. Iguodala is probably the biggest question mark, specifically if he gets long-term contract offers elsewhere. Just for the sake of comparison, this season the Warriors' payroll was $100 million and they didn't pay the luxury tax. With Curry's and Durant's new deals, even if the Warriors got all of their free agents to come back for the exact same salaries -- which isn't happening -- they'd be at $160 million this season with the taxes. When you start thinking of the possible raises and the added tax, you get the point. http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/19750746/2017-nba-free-agency-faq-warriors-stay-together-july-1 warriors about to come back down to earth in terms of salaries unless they plan on paying luxury tax another year to get 1 more championship.
If they win this year, you bet they will try for 3peat by bring back most of the players, Klay might be gone after that though.
They have to choose between Klay and Draymond. I think they choose Klay and let Draymond go the following year.
As long as that team is winning, don't see much changing from that core. It'll work out somehow aa long as they all want it to
If they really have to choose 1, I feel Dray is more essential to the team's success and Klay is easier to replace.
