I actually think the Pacers called the Celtics about a trade considering their assets. Look at it this way, if the Celtics wanted Jimmy Butler, they could have beat Minny IMO. I think ainge is being stingy with the assets. Passed on Porzingis and Butler. Why would he cash in on PG, who is a rental. I still think Houston or Indiana

I don't think DA is going to take the risk of losing tatum for a one year rental. They won't make it past the cavs or wizards. I bet he backs out of the deal and won't trade for him

Celtics put the ass in assets, as in they have assets out of their ass, not including any of their good picks. Matter of whether the Celtics want(ed) to take the risk.
It could be the opposite actually. Perhaps Indiana has gotten indications that Morey has reached his ceiling while negotiations with Boston are still ongoing and could obviously beat Houston's easily once they put more on the table. But yeah, looks like we're second place again.
