It was really tremendous. Anyone who can handle slow burn dramas that deliver a punch should be all over it.

    Not a true story.

    The Eagle Huntress

    9.25/10

More like a documentary, a 13 year old girl in Mongolia becomes an eagle hunter. Pretty good stuff

    Hell Baby 8/10

Not because it was a 'great' movie, but because I had a blast watching it. To get an idea of the way the humor goes, this was made by the same people who made 'Reno 911: Miami!' ... think horror/comedy in the same vein as 'Tucker & Dale vs Evil'.

Plus, I love Corddry, he's just one of those guys who can make anything good.

Watched The Place Beyond the Pines and I thought it was pretty good in parts but very convoluted and overdramatic in key moments. I was really surprised by all the glowing reviews - 6/10.

Ryan Gosling carried that movie in my opinion.

Transformers 4. It was fun but got a little bit boring in the middle almost took a map. Wish there was a good fight. Have to say a lot of funny 1 liners.

    I watched this yesterday.

Big mistake. Not a tearjerker for me, just very eerie.

I woke up at 2:30 last night, because I kid you not, that f****ing b**** was in my dreams. The first half of the film was whatever, but when she killed herself with her son by jumping off the pier, that image kept playing in my mind. I couldn't go back to sleep for awhile.

    You cannot unsee this ****.

    Seconded...

I love this movie and nobody really saw it. It's beautifully paced. I love the voice over. Casey Affleck's performance is pretty astounding. And Roger Deakins... holy **** does that guy know how to shoot a movie. He nearly outdoes himself here, and that's saying something.

Oh, and Rockwell's in it!! No movie was ever made worse by Sam Rockwell being in it.

Agree on every point. Affleck deserved a nomination.

Voice over wise, it blew away my prior favourite, Baldwin in The Royal Tenenbaums.

It blew away his second best performance...though I'm not sure he's acting here:

Finally got around to watching Shin Godzilla.

Brilliant slowburner of a movie, took its time building up to the glorious final showdown. Also, made a great social commentary on bureaucracy and overall government ineptitude. I loved the score as well as the excellent cinematography and old school visual style and sound.

    10/10
