Nate Taylor(Pacers beat writer) Best case scenario? Lakers - Pritchard wants #2. That's holding it up. Rockets, Heat, Blazers, Wolves - multiple picks in the future along with a young player who could show potential with Myles Turner. Russell, #2 pick, maybe take on Deng. Who pulls the trigger before Thursday?
Of course they would rather have him now. Then they'd be able to resign him on bird rights and be able to go way over the cap for another big name
they literally have nothing to offer...the earliest pick they can trade is in 2021, and Blake Griffin isn't agreeing to go there in a S&T after CP3, Blake, and Deandre, they Austin Rivers who is nothing special and bunch of scrubs
Pritchard knows damn well he's not getting the #2 overall pick, Magic laughs at that request...they'll be getting the 28th pick and Clarkson or Randle for PG Rockets can offer Gordon, Sam or Harrell, a 2018 1st, and a 2017 1st from a Bev trade
LOL at the Lakers giving up Lonzo Ball for a guy that can just come next year for no cost. Not happening.
Do they even want Capela? Capela will be a RFA after next season, and I seriously doubt a rebuilding Pacers have any interest in paying market value for someone like Capela.
Yeah, they would've to trade Rivers or Crawford (and both have negative value lol) to match the salary, and a future pick lol At this point the most funny part in all this are the media constantly trying to put the Clippers in every freaking conversation when they're at an underground level of relevance.
I think this is a fine offer. Lots of versatility after this. Many different types You can take. You still have 10 mill capspace. You could trade Ariza immediately. If shooting for a guard you can trade Williams. If you want Ibaka you could trade Anderson and attempt to create space. If you want Chris Paul you can trade Beverley and Williams. If you wanted to go all in, and I don't know if Drummond is the guy to fit this system, but you could trade Anderson+Williams+Capela for Drummond and KCP(assuming they're as desperate to drop Drummond as they appear) then offer Ibaka whatever you could scrape up. Beverley/Harden/George/Ibaka/Drummond +KCP/Ariza My point is simply that it's a very versatile offer.
If George goes to that dumbster fire I wonder if after a year he doesn't change his mind? I would enjoy it anyway by having him destroy Ainge's next year pick anyway.
That's about the same offer I had. I think we would prefer keeping Dekker over Harrell, and I think they would probably prefer our 2019 pick over 2018 (given the risk that George could leave after 2018, which would improve our 2019 pick).
My assumption is that he would do his best '05 Kobe impression just like we saw out of Westbrook this season.
I'd definitely prefer to keep Dekker over Harrell, but if he has to go then so be it I added the 2018 pick because it would probably be worse than the 2019 one lol, but if Indy wanted 2019 instead then they can have it
And let's remember Hayward is also in play here, i expect Boston to be all over him obviously, i guess that's why they didn't pull the trigger for Butler...unless they really want both, which might be possible, but they have to keep some room to get a big in one way or another...
100% ISOBall approved Butler going to Cleveland, Boston doesn't want him Lakers are not moving 2nd, Ingram or Russell pretty safe to assume they will wait Clippers are out Pretty much Rockets vs Wizards now
