Ain't this mutha****a unemployed? Why the **** are ppl asking him for insider info? He's as useful as Kingdrew
Calvin Twatkins is a joke. He did a segment on 790 last week and he must have vacuum between his ears.
I'm the last, literally the last person in here that would ever defend Ryan Anderson but 40% ain't nothing. He has to become a better rebounder, he has to become a better defender, he has to become better in the post but most importantly that mutha****a needs to nutt up and shoot the ****ing ball in crunch time. I don't know how he's going to do those things. Would I rather have Paul George? Of course I would but that ain't happening so we need to hope Ryan is working hard this summer so when Gallo is having an off night and we need scoring from him he'll be ready.
Hearing the teams like Clippers sign-&-trade, Wizards interest, and Cavs interest makes me think the Rockets may be outgunned for PG13.
Ultimately though it depends on who offers the best package. The Rockets have legitimate, movable assets. The Clippers and Cavs really don't unless they're willing to deal guys like Jordan and Love. The Wizards certainly do, but Morey could offer a package every bit as appealing as what the Wizards can offer, barring them dealing Wall or Beal (which they'd be stupid to do).
You think Rockets can match a package of 1st picks, Porter and Kelly Oubre, and maybe Markieff? Also, the sign-&-trade would involve Blake, but Jordan is interesting even with Myles Turner.
LOL, why the hell would Blake want to go to the Pacers? And you really think the Wizards would gut their team to get Paul George?
Can't combine players in a sign and trade but even if you could there is no way Washington would give up all of that. But even if they would, porter would have to take a massive pay cut to be part of the deal
If they want to match that Washington offer, they feasibly could (I think Oubre is pretty overrated). But I don't really see Washington dealing Porter. Also, you're assuming Blake wants to go to Indiana. The Clippers can't sign and trade a player to a place he doesn't want to go.
If all it takes is Gordon, Harrell and 2 first rounders you do it in a heart beat. Then you creat capspace to get Paul and we're set Paul Harden Geroge Ariza Clint Williams cheap free agent Dekker Nene Cheap backup C That team will be insane. Harden and George in the open court will hell fun watching attacking the basket. Ariza at the 4 spot can play good enough. You have 3 guys that are good 3 point shooters in Ariza, Harden and PG. Then you throw in Paul and Harden's passing skills wow.
I never said it was nothing. In fact the very first line of the post you quoted was that he was NOT useless. However, even 40% as a whole does not tell the entire story as a player. For instance, If you hit 10-10 threes against a scrub team that is already being blown out then you're 100% on 10 for 10 isn't all that impactful. If you come back the next game against one of the top teams, in a game you need to win, and go 0 for 10 then you aren't showing up or having any type of meaningful impact even though your stats are going to say you're shooting a whopping 50%. Ryan Anderson has been so bad this past year that people have gone as far as to say he is a great help just by being on the floor. That he doesn't need to do anything else besides be a threat. That is the biggest piece of hog wash. If you aren't going to have a guy who rebounds, or plays defense on opposing big men then you may as well put another guard out there. That guard will pull defenses out on him too but at least they'll bring More ball handling. Since defense and rebounds are a Lost cause with Ryno anyways who cares if it's Ryan Anderson or Troy Daniels at the 4. His only job is stretching the defense right? Ryan Anderson is the second Highest paid player on the team and he has very little impact in games that matter and even some that didn't matter. Unless you have a bunch of young guys on cheap contracts outplaying their current deal, you cannot have Rhino on your team making 20 mil and expect to be a serious contender in today's NBA landscape. He doesn't bring enough to the table, especially in games that matter.
DAYM PEOPLE! The man has already said he wants to go to lala land! Why are you gonna give up assets for a one year rental on a dude that has flat out said he doesn't want to be here? a guy who has said he will not facilitate a trade and will offer no assurances - except to LA.... "Oh he'll come here and be so enamored he'll want to stay... " .... really? that's just delusional... "Well if he leaves we'll have the cap space to spend next year..." Please... DM dumps cap space like most people taking a crap.... watch him now as he dumps Ryno and Arizaand probably Lou... having someone leave to open cap space isn't a big deal for us... we don't have a bunch of crappy negative contracts... Brewer is already gone... lol We just had a guy end the season by quitting... and now people want to bring in a dude on 1 year rental that doesn't want to be here and is virtually a lock to go to LA next year.... oh yeh, I'm sure he'll be all revved up to fight to the end... smh....
True. Reminded me of Artest, he was one year rental and went to the Champs Fakers. Sure, we did not give up too much to get him and folks here would do it again perhaps. I am on the fence here.
But the state taxes are cheap. That will make up for the gigantic contract he will receive from the Lakers. We also have Whataburger
He's only under contract through next year... so basically you're 'renting him' for 1 year and then he's a free agent and can go wherever he pleases - most probably to the Lakers... usually with only 1 year remaining on a contract it's considered a 'rental' as opposed to a longer term commitment...
