Whats so great about playing for the Lakers? What happens with Ingram? Should they trade him for a star? Dude is too skinny to play as a power forward.
I love how Paul George "wanted to be open" to let the Pacers know his intentions. He could have done it "behind the scenes" but by going OPEN he has KILLED the Pacers leverage. Pacers were offered FOUR 1st round draft picks by Atlanta at the trade deadline. Now likely to get 25 cents on the dollar. Jazz (Deron Williams) and Nuggets (Carmelo) are the standard when it comes to teams "reading the tea leaves" to get maximum return.
Wouldn't surprise me if Pritchard trades PG before the draft. I seriously doubt he's on the roster when training camp begins. Lakers don't need to give up the #2 pick. They could throw some bones to the Pacers and get it over with.
Yeah, I don't see any way PG13 is on the Pacers by training camp. Huge distraction and his trade value decreases by the day.
Is that true? I never heard that rumor. What if Indy offers to give up George and Thad Young while absorbing both mozgov and Deng contracts for the #2. If I'm Indy that's what I do. Your gonna suck for 3 more years so swallow those contracts and try and jump-start the rebuild.
"Although George would constitute a significant acquisition for Los Angeles, the rebuilding Lakers do not currently intend to part with any of their young assets in a trade with the Pacers, sources told ESPN's Ramona Shelburne." Get it done, Morey. PG is right there for the taking.
Bird held on him too long he made it clear last year, could've had sooooo much They #2 pick + more also
sign blake and then we have a legit chance. if he can be sold on a winner, how many better teams out there? warriors, cavs, spurs... maybe celtics since they made the conference finals and we didn't. if we sign blake, hayward, or cp3, how many other teams would offer a big 3 scenario like that? we'd be the best situation for him. pipe dream off-season: 1) sign blake (trade ryno to clear cap room for him) 2) trade EG, ariza, picks for PG. 3) trade our remaining assets (lou, capela, dekker, harrell, bev) for a 4th star on a cheap deal like kemba 4) fill out roster with vet min deals for bigs and shooters: nene, troy, cj miles, spieghts, joel anthony, sergio rodriguez opening day roster with minutes in parenthesis: nene (20) - anthony (8) - nanu blake (36) - spieghts (20) - joe PG (36) - miles (24) - 2nd round pick kemba (36) - troy (24) - 2nd round pick harden (36) - rodriguez - taylor the warriors proved you can win with vet min centers, and ours would be no worse than theirs. i also like the way our big 4 matchup with theirs. they still have a better bench but this puts us squarely #2 in the league right behind them. better than the spurs with cp3 and better than the cavs. we'd be able to go 6 or 7 with the warriors and have a punchers chance. anyway back to reality...
Woj: In the past 24 hours, Pritchard has become more aggressive in pursuing trades for George, league sources told The Vertical. Pritchard has yet to show an inclination to engage the Lakers, but has discussed deals with several teams – including Cleveland – in which the expectation of teams would be that George is a “one-year rental.” It is unclear how robust those offers to Indiana will ultimately be, given that teams believe he will sign with the Lakers next summer. So far, Indiana is asking for a substantial package of talent and draft picks for George, league sources said. Discussions could extend until Thursday’s NBA draft – or beyond. _______________ _______________ LOL Every team's "best" offer: Spoiler ATL: Kent Bazemore & Tim Hardaway Jr. for Paul George BOS: Amir Johnson, Jonas Jerebko & Marcus Smart for Paul George & Glenn Robinson III BRK: Jeremy Lin, K.J.
