don't really need Bev if we're adding CP3 also don't really need Ariza if we're getting PG13 our sleeves, there's something up them
Do we really need to unload Beverley's contract to clear space? He is only $5-mill a year from this point on, thats such a good value. unless he's being used as a trade asset
Rockets without Beverley...I just can't! Rumors are nothing new though. http://bbs.clutchfans.net/index.php...ade-beverley-ariza-and-mcdaniels-away.275666/ Bulls I believe wanted him at the deadline for Gibson? (via Codman?) and other rumors I don't recall.
James Harden is the only untouchable. I love Bev, but when @DaDakota professed his love for him, his days were numbered. We all know what happens to DD's favorite players..
So there is a chance we will likely lose the two real leaders and voices in the locker room. The two guys (bev and Ariza) who play with heart and passion and will call out Harden on his BS Nice
Everyone but Harden is available. I love Bev and what he brings, but IF (and HUGE IF) they could get CP3, you fill the void defensively plus all of the offense that CP3 bings. If you move Bev and don't get CP3, Rockets just have to make sure other areas of the team are covered defensively. If glue guys like Ariza and Bev need to be moved to get a star type player (Hayward etc) then Morey will do it. That said, those glue guys are key culture guys, so I wouldn't disrupt the culture for re-arranging the deck chairs. Needs to be a big upgrade to warrant the risk of disrupting the chemistry.
Beverley is a classic sell high candidate. His trade value will never be higher than it is right now given his age and contract status.
not too sure Bev calls Harden out on his BS. He may provide encouragement certainly, and lead by example, but I don't see any way Bev can "call out Harden on his BS." He knows where he fits in the hierarchy.
