As if you couldn't get any more pathetic. You want to complain about rhetoric? Your love interest is the all-time ringleader in that category.

It's sad to see how blind you are and how low you have sunk.

I don't think Republicans are to blame.

But I do think that the political divide and animosity of recent years is a factor - and more than a few Republicans have been stoking those flames - from radio personalities, to elected officials, and others. And the refusal to denounce violence is dangerous because there are mentally ill people who may take it as license to act.

Let's hope this is a warning shot to all to re-engage is civil discourse at every level - but I won't hold my breath.

An armed society is a polite society until they shoot you while you're playing softball. Maybe they can come up with a holster on the back of the first baseman's mitt. Taking grounders and returning fire can be part of the pre-game. Thank you, NRA.

After the 2 recent terrorist attacks by Bernie bros, first in Portland with a knife then in Virginia with a gun, I think it's important that we don't knee jerk too hard. Extremists like that will always be a threat to society but we should focus on how to deal with them and limit the damage they can cause with increased security more so than trying to strip rights away from the public. In both instances, the damage the Bernie bros were able to cause was limited by the response to it. In Portland there was an Army veteran who stepped in and sacrificed his life to defend those who were being attacked and doing so caused the Bernie bro to flee. In Virginia, fortunately there were good people with guns to stop the Bernie bro with a gun. If not for those armed cops, it would have been a massacre.

IMO that's the key. You'll never prevent these kinds of things completely so long as there are radicalized extremists, but if handled properly, we can limit the damage done and the lives lost to extremism be it political extremism or religious extremism.

Abortion clinic bombings, faux right militias who point loaded weapons at federal law enforcement, crazy right wingers who murder local cops, OKC bombings... Right Wing extremism is a deadly problem in America.

And the Portland shooter was one too. He explicitly stated that he would join a hypothetical Trump Nazi brigade. He was a white supremacist who had sympathies to Trump's 'America first' rhetoric..

How about a ball park estimate? Which right wing views do those two politicians hold? I don't follow them very much but they seem to be extreme left wing nutjobs. You guys are all experts on the alt right so I assume you would have their views pretty well worked out.

I thought the alt right were neo nazis but then I saw posters here call Big Tex an alt right and now Alt Righters are pro Jill Stein.

So, who was it that wanted to "rip up NAFTA" and start "a revolution of millions of people"?

Maybe it's time to upgrade the armory.

I tend to think that this shooter and many like him would have been more gainfully occupied if they simply had jobs. Same goes for many foreign terrorists. Jobs help! Then there is the topic of mental health treatment: we always expect individuals to fix themselves there too.

Many Americans, including some posters here, think that if a guy is living out of his van, it is all his own fault and he could be Bill Gates if he just had more gumption. That's true to some extent, a little. But it's much more true that more jobs could be created in this country, and Americans could be living easier lives if our tax dollars weren't being flushed so obscenely on so many things.

You want less shooters, make sure less people are unemployed and living out of their cars. It will help. . . .

Now go ahead with the usual archaic Christian-ass objections: "It's his own fault (coz he is sinful by nature)! Gimme all my money and I love America, but as for individual Americans, I don't give a **** about them. Let 'em starve or lock 'em up!"

Extreme left wing nut jobs don't support Nazi xenophobic anti-Muslim rhetoric. He was a right wing nationalist who supported Bernie's populist banking reform. He supported Trump on many social issues. He explicitly stated that if Trump decided to carry the flame of the Nazi legacy, he would gladly join his cause. He was an uber-right winger and anyone trying to rationalize otherwise is playing mental gymnastic games.

So no percentage of alt righters who support Jill Stein, no right wing views they support and no definition of alt right.

When asked which alt righters support Jill Stein and Sanders you said the ones that support Nazi rhetoric. From this BBS I was under the impression that was all of the alt right. But that cannot be possible because the alt right certainly was not accused of being pro bernie.

Perhaps this is why you cannot give some percentage.

Were were you in 2016? It was a common theme for many Bernie supporters that teether between Trump and Bernie through their distaste of Hillary and establishment politics.

Just read his post history. He spews all the common tropes of a right wing nationalist. From memes about how confederate monuments shouldn't be removed, to banning mosques, to explicit Nazi iconography.

All this Republican-Democrat argument is actually bullshit and we are getting played by participating in it. Both political parties need to quit choking the American people.

I don't give a **** about Syria and quit spending OUR TAX DOLLARS there.
I don't give a **** about Iraq and quit spending OUR TAX DOLLARS there.
I don't give a **** about Afghanistan and quit spending OUR TAX DOLLARS there.
**** your ****ing Texas Wall and don't spend OUR TAX DOLLARS on it.

Spend that money on Americans in America, and fewer Republicans and Democrats will be pissed off at fewer Democrats and Republicans.

I don't think many of the anti establishment voters were nazis though. I was sick when I thought it would be Bush v Clinton, I'm not a Nazi. By your definition, @glynch is the biggest alt-right poster on the board.

and again it was my understanding all alt righters support nazi rhetoric, and this is the first I have heard of them supporting Jill Stein. It is this political game to paint a group as holding horrible views, then trying to expand membership of that group to include everyone you dislike.

I am saying the Bernie People have a problem with radicalization because of the simple FACT that two of his die hard supporters just did some horrific things.
