Because now Mueller has been appointed?

When you can't prove any underlying crime, hit them with obstruction of justice. Comey's MO.

I think they are onto something here. In my independent investigation on this issue, I have discovered multiple instances where witnesses were "friends" with the prosecution. Someone needs to take a serious look at this.

Hrmmm, in this analogy is the Trump cabinet the Sacramento Kings?

In any case, it makes sense that the Trumpers are trying to get Adam Silver to disband the Warriors.

Trump administration is now floating the idea of firing Mueller:

Trump friend says president considering firing Mueller
    http://thehill.com/homenews/administration/337509-trump-considering-firing-special-counsel-mueller

A friend of President Trump said Monday that Trump is considering firing special counsel Robert Mueller, who is leading the FBI investigation into potential ties between the Trump campaign and Russia.

“I think he’s considering perhaps terminating the special counsel,” Chris Ruddy told PBS’ Judy Woodruff on “PBS NewsHour.”

“I think he’s weighing that option.”

“I personally think it would be a very significant mistake,” Ruddy continued, “even though I don’t think there’s a justification ... for a special counsel.”

Ruddy said there are several conflicts that could arise with Mueller as special counsel, including the fact that his former law firm represents members of Trump’s family and that Mueller interviewed for the position of FBI Director after Trump fired James Comey.

Ruddy, the CEO of conservative news organization NewsMax, was spotted leaving the White House earlier on Monday.

Ruddy’s comments come as others close to Trump have expressed doubt with Mueller as special counsel.

Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich has questioned Mueller’s ability to be fair in his investigation, citing political donations from people Mueller have hired to staff the investigation.

What are Trump, his administration, and the RNC hiding?

We don't know that nobody will be convicted of any underlying crime. The investigation is ongoing and has been going only a fraction of the time that other investigations such as Benghazi lasted. But if not, obstruction of justice is also a crime, and might explain a lack of other convictions.

You can say whatever you want about Comey's MO, but Comey isn't the one doing the investigating right now. It's Mueller. He was appointed some time ago, and only recently has there been a beef with him.

Holy cow! That would be huge. Firing Comey got him in more trouble than anything so far, and to top it off with this, would only make it worse.

Mr. trump would be a fool to fire Mueller. Being a fool seems to come naturally to the man. Does he know any history at all? Apparently not.

It won't be anything like Watergate part anything until Congressional Republicans really stand up to him. Otherwise, he'll get away with whatever he wants.

Mueller drew strong bipartisan praise, and rightfully so based on his country-before-politics career. Conservative posters on here mocked liberals saying liberals would hate the Mueller appointment. And now this. Fox et al. in the smear cycle of this man's good name and a POTUS actually thinking he is the CEO of the United States, running today's disgusting "cabinet meeting" like an episode of the Apprentice, with secretaries falling all over themselves to slavishly kiss ass.

We can all decide together now -- what will we accept? It's not a question of pathetic or not -- we've answered that in the last six months. It's just a question of how pathetic.

I think Trump needs to first fire the DAG (assuming the DAG refuses to fire the SC), no?

Trump would be admitting he has something serious to hide if he fires Mueller. Only his most ignorant loyalists would support such a thing.

I believe this is a wet finger in the wind to gauge reaction to the idea. Bill Clinton did this more often than any president I remember but Trump has taken it to another level.

There is no way he fires Mueller. It would take a huge brass pair of balls to do that. Well, or serious anxiety for the investigation.

    Everyone please read this thread.

I think Trumps play here which just screams "Trump move" is to fire Mueller through Rodenstein (deputy AG) or the next man up assuming someone agrees to it below Rodenstein (if he resigns) and Trump takes his chances with Congress as Seth Abramson sort of predicts here.

Legal Chaos really seems like the ultimate Trump move that just makes sense if you know anything about Trump.

Sessions violating his recusal to fire Mueller I just can't see happening unless Sessions is that stupid or is assuming he's already going to jail for some other crime Mueller is bound to find. That's why Rodenstein and/or the "next man up" at the DOJ will be the ones to watch here. My guess is that Dana Boente guy signs off on the firing if Rodenstein doesn't since he signed off on executing the travel ban when Sally Yates would not.

Then it goes to Congress and I just don't see Congress with Nunes and Ryan overseeing having the independence to do what is right for the country which would be opening up a Independent commission similar to 9/11, or impeaching Trump.

You guys REALLY think Nunes and Paul Ryan would do that to Trump? My money is on Trump firing Mueller, and taking his chances with Congress where his chances of survival seem to be way higher IMO although politically absurd.
