Harden and Ariza got into a fight after game 5, hence Harden's game 6 performance.

It makes sense because of the way they awfully played against a hurt Spurs team that had no Tony Parker and Kawhi Leonard.

It's going to have to be. There actually aren't any better, realistic paths.

Not saying this is true in the case of OP, but I have to think people post these fairly obvious observations (like in-fighting after game 5), which you don't have to be an "insider" to realize probably happened, just for attention. I was saying this right after game 5, and so were others. The same holds true for all of the fairly obvious observations posted about Nene and the state of his contract. People just want likes so bad.

I think this is what happened. When the Rockets couldn't cut it at the end of game 5, Harden was brought in to commit a bunch of turnovers (fix the game) and with no Nene it was bleak for the Rockets going up against the Warriors anyways so he just have the guys shut it down for the rest of the season. The NBA is more and more of a business than actual competitive play most of the times anyways.

Personally, I don't buy into the fixed game theory, but, just start a thread saying you heard this from inside the Rockets Org. and you will instantly become more credible. :)

i think they didnt care once they realized how hard it would be to win 2 games against the spurs with only one center....not mentioning the warriors who would be waiting to emberass them. The Spurs got off easy after getting sweeped, if it were the Rockets everyone woulda clowned them. The Rockets had one advantage and that was the center spot. they were out matched in the guards and wings department.

pops is a great coach too

GSW is essentially Rockets on massive Steroids, better coaching staff and better management decisions. Houston is still good.

Dude. You're just making things up though. Is that what people do around here to make arguments? Jet had enough? We passed on signing him.

This is the first season where we gave Harden full control of the offense, and we got third seed. Good start.

This whole board is speculation and conjecture...
It's not like we have an organization that offers explanations and reasons... transparency is not a hallmark of the Rox - lol

Still havent heard anything official regarding the game 6 debacle beyond James' post game interview of "I just couldnt get in a rhythm..." - what? not taking a single shot or grabbing a single rebound through the first quarter and half of an elimination game is not the inability to get in a rhythm - that's not trying...

Lil Mo? A few independent articles... but havent seen the article where James categorically denies everything and accuses Mo of a money grab or whatever.... Barkley throws a dude threw a window and offers the quote: "What [police and witnesses) said happened, happened,'' Barkley said. ``What he did was inappropriate. I'm going to defend myself. Let there be no debate. If you bother me, I'm going to whip your ass. The guy threw ice in my face, and I slammed his ass into the window. I'm not denying that. I defended myself. He got what he deserved.'' ...but nothin from James...

Terry being done with the dysfunction is speculation... but he was certainly caught in the middle of it... though still never heard any real breakdown of all that mess... but I'll say that if someone comes up to you and asks "hey who do you think should be employee of the year? This guy you've been working side by side with for the last couple years - or this other guy who you havent worked with?" and you say 'the other guy'... there's an issue there somewhere... even if you think the other guy is more deserving you would still say the guy you have the relationship with... unless you got beef... speculation... but does it sound out of line?

First season where james has full control of the offense? Where have you been the last couple years? He got officially moved to PG this last season... but he's been the de facto PG for the last couple years.... I dont even know what more to say to this... It's been the James Harden show for at least a couple years now....

3rd seed may be a good start... but it was sure one sh*t show of an ending... lol

personally, I would have preferred Josh Smith sitting on the bench to Isaiah Taylor during the post season... but that wasnt gonna happen...

but hey, maybe yer right... James harden is a heckuva guy who gets along great with everybody... everybody wants to play with James Harden... smh...

I thought we had established the narrative that Harden had a concussion and were going to leave it at that

I know many people here don't like Ariza, but he's the perfect role player for any contending team. It would be a shame to see him go.

dude you have to understand, clutchfans has a lot of jeremy lin trolls. These guys really deep down believe that jeremy lin is as good as james freakin harden, whenever harden has a bad game these guys come out like roaches to try and convince the rest of the board to get on the bandwagon of shippping harden out to another team lol. They just dont understand, Harden is the 2nd biggest talent we have had here in houston( LES IS NOT TRADING HIM), we just arent gonna get rid of him. They hate Harden so much they are blinded by the fact that they cant see he finished runner up to mvp 2 out of the last 3 years. You dont trade talents like that, i dont care how problematic they are. If the fans dont like how he plays( just come out and say it). But these jeremy lin fans also hate Lebron as well, they are well documented warrior fans as well, because thats where jeremy lin started his career. So they are online running off at the mouth how the finals are rigged, instead appreciating kyrie and lebrons greatness

heh, trevor ariza is the type of player the cavs need to take down GS. the perfect 3 & D guy, tho he's lost a step over the years.

Regardless, interesting thread ... not sure it's true but no surprise to have players have tension with Harden

Haha....literally every point you made was poor... lil mo argument? hes doing whats best, let the lawyers handle it. FAIL #1 . Jason Terry endorsing Westbrook means he had issues with Harden? He actually endorsed Harden for MVP most of the season then near the end when Westbrook was on his triple double tear including a game vs the bucks, thats when Terry was asked and he said yeah Westbrook is mvp (he actually was asked again and he said they should both get it) Not the first guy to live in the moment in the NBA ..so you went from he wanted out of houston to ok he didnt but he doesnt like harden cuz he said westbrook is mvp FAIL # 2 Yes Harden has been the focal point of our offense since he came here but when howard is also on the team he didnt have FULL control, only when D'antoni came along did we say it all goes through Harden ..whether its the right way to do it i dont know...but it was the first season last season and we did get the third best record and take care of business the first round before losing to the spurs..ANOTHER FAIL for you...you literally bash harden with arguments, i prove em wrong , then you change the wordings and arguments to continue to bash him..

Say you dont like this and that about him ... don't make things up and then when you get called out on it say its speculation and then use different arguments..

You are entitled to your opinion, bro... I disagree..
    .
You can read the Terry endorsement however you want....

You can read his silence on Lil Mo however you please.... personally, if I was overseeing a multi million dollar brand image - I'd respond....

Idk what to make of this... howard had control? any control? Howard got totally frozen out o the offensive end... The Howard usage towards the end pretty much epitomizes the fact that James had total control - esp with weak willed JBB at the helm.... Your assertion that james hasn't had total control is just stupid.... now who's 'making things up'?

Plus. while you are happy to give james "full control" - I view him as a player that should follow the teams gameplan... but if you're happy with James calling the defensive switches (as with Lillard's game winner in the playoffs a couple years back) or dominating the ball (such as 0-3 shooting and 3 turnovers in OT of game 5...)... then hey, you reap what you sow - and you deserve what you get...

The whole point started as - James is diva. As much as everyone clamors for more 'creators' or other stars - James wants to be the focal point - period....

People that think any superstar would risk his brand image by playing with James Harden are just delusional.... no, we gotta pony up 80M to get the likes of Ryan Anderson to come here...

but hey man, you enjoy those free agent acquisitions... I'm sure all the top guys are lining up to play with the beard.... I'm sure John Wall is on board... ;) ...smh....
