    Basketball Hall of Fame isn't hard to get into compared to say baseball. It's not unreasonable to assume he'll get in.

    He had a period of time where he could claim to be "best at his position in the league," he has DPotY hardware, a lot of numbers. The only thing he's missing is a championship ring, but that would only matter if he were borderline and I don't think he is.

    I'm not a huge fan of his, but all the elements are there, IMO.

    Sorry but this is lazy analysis by basketball reference. I ran the numbers and Dwight only has a 98.7615247% chance to make the HoF.

    Well he did lead a team to the finals.... Tracy was only a scrub on a finals team and made it. So yep he is a shoe in.

    Basketball has a really big hall, so it doesn't take all that much for players to make it in. If it was a hall that was more difficult to get into like baseball then it would be an interesting question.

    if you forget about everything he did off the court then it's hard to say he's not a Hall of Famer.

    tmac was better than webber and cant make a ft ben wallace. the basketball hall of fame is not clutchfans with tinmac as president. he was talented and many NBA players claim he was the most difficult player to guard.

    Eh. Why not. He Was awesome from 2007-12. He could have been mvp the year D Rose won. He did lead the 2009 magic to the finals.

    As inconsequential as it should be in determining HOF status, he did do a lot of good PR work on behalf of the NBA with his trips to Darfur. I would bet that had some influence as well.

    Obviously. Multiple DPOY winner, top 5 player for 4-5 years, best center in the league during that span. He reminds me of Tmac, fantastic player, but injuries severely limited his athleticism and he declined early. Both didn't handle their respective declines well, both weren't great locker room presences at times. Both sometimes didn't give it their all when times got tough during the regular season, but put in work during the playoffs, playing through injuries during their time here. Dwight maybe is doing a little better than Tmac at being a serviceable player later in his career, but he had a disappointing last playoff.

    Whether he makes the HOF or not, Dwight Howard is always a Champion and he wont let anyone tell him different
