All I got from that is that he's a hard worker.

    Honestly this article is ridiculous.

"We have a solution" "He has passed all the tests"

Those are the takeaways but the meat of the article is "works hard, asks good questions and knows the answers."

That is EXACTLY the same things we heard about Brock. Worked hard, spent time in the film room, knew the right things to say, etc. It's silly to post an article calling someone the "solution" based on that. Give the kid a chance to face live action before you put that out there.

Well, it is Ota season. Unless there's an injury or a cut keep expecting more articles like this to keep sheeple entertained and clicking their website.

This is going to be the most fun preseason I can ever remember.

That being said, these articles are, indeed, pointless.

I can't stop from reading them, though.

To be fair he was supposed to say those things about Brock. He had been in the league a few seasons and should have been able to pick up quick.
It carries a little more weight to it when he says it about Watson seeing as he is a rookie and all. Just my little positive spin.

It's really no different, he's supposed to say those things about Watson right now just like he was supposed to say those things about Brock. I don't think we'll hear anything of value until we actually see them on the field with the pads on in camp at the absolute earliest and even then, I'm going to hold out till I see them on the field in preseason before even starting to make judgments different than those we came into the offseason with.

Not going to lie, I ideally wanted him to make the same progression as Dak Prescott, but understand it's unrealistic.

    But I can still dream.

O ye of little faith. I'm telling you you're robbing yourself of the joy that the majority of the city is feeling over the addition of Watson. It may be the only chance you get before the season starts. I suggest you join in while you can.

Dak Prescott was sorta just thrown in there. Romo was out so he was up. Judging by Savage's history the same could happen here.

People indulged in that joy with Osweiler and with Carr.....I would hope some people would hold off on that as of yet unjustified "joy". If the kid beats the odds and is anything close to what you think he'll be then great, but I prefer the wait and see approach.

    Screw the damn propaganda!

Already trying to make sure everyone's sold beforehand...They think we're just rubes shelling out $$$ and our hearts automatically (which we do to a certain extent)...without the pudding.

    It's really insulting.

That's your perogative, but it's only natural to be excited at the prospect of drafting a QB in the first round for the first time since our inaugural draft. If it doesn't work out, yes we are boned, but might there's no harm in riding the wave of optimism for now, even if it's eventually foolish in hindsight.

Sure, and the Titans were thrilled about Jake Locker, and the Jags were thrilled about Blaine Gabbert.....

Perhaps if he was a prospect that I saw more potential in then I could convince myself to get overly excited without actually seeing any reason to feel that way but as of now I see the QB we drafted in the first round as a guy that has no business being on the field for at least a year. It would be like getting excited about Zhou Qi

I just hope whoever is at QB does well, I am not mentally prepared for the "SCREW SAVAGE, START WATSON" and "BOB STARTED WATSON TOO EARLY" threads lol

What about the "Is Savage the new Romo?" Or the surefire "Is Watson ROY?" threads?

If Savage doesn't turn the ball over, he should start. If he gets turnover happy in the first few games - give the kid the rock. This team is good enough to win without stellar QB play, but it isn't good enough to win with too many turnovers. Rest Watson as long as possible in the meantime.
