I now present to you, Predisent Trump's Lawyer's statement: http://www.cnn.com/2017/06/08/politics/marc-kasowitz-statement-trump-comey/index.html
Chris Matthews of MSNBC weighs in: Liberal MSNBC host Chris Matthews said Thursday the accusation that President Trump directly colluded with Russia to interfere in the U.S. election "came apart" following former FBI Director James Comey's testimony in front of Congress. In his written and spoken testimony on Thursday, Comey said that he never felt that Trump had tried to impede the FBI's investigation into Russia, even that the president had encouraged it and he suggested that former national security adviser Mike Flynn wasn't at the heart of the investigation. "The assumption of the critics of the president, of his pursuers, you might say, is that somewhere along the line in the last year is the president had something to do with colluding with the Russians … to affect the election in some way," Matthews said on MSNBC, following the testimony. "And yet what came apart this morning was that theory," Matthews said, listing two reasons why. First, he said Comey revealed that "Flynn wasn't central to the Russian investigation," and secondly, he said that kills the idea that Flynn might have been in a position to testify against Trump. "And if that's not the case, where's the there-there?" Matthews said. http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/c...me-apart-with-comey-testimony/article/2625372
Flynn's resignation? You mean Trump asking Comey to drop the investigation on Flynn? I'd respectfully disagree on the "proof" statement you made as Comey said himself he's "sure" that Mueller is investigating any obstruction. Just because it's now confirmed it's being investigated of course doesn't confirm he commited obstruction that would normally be a crime in a criminal case, but in this case would just be part of the investigation conclusion that would be submitted to Congress instead of a grand jury like what will happen if let's say Flynn is indicted for a crime. ... The testimonys yesterday I agree are likely an even bigger deal in the "mosaic" potential obstruction high crimes that get submitted to Congress. The fact that they refused to testify is striking. You have to ask what the heck is going on between the White House counsel and these individuals. But again it's a political case regardless. If Paul Ryan decides not to open impeachment hearings after Mueller finds Trump did commit obstruction the Democrats go into an ejection cycle being able to say unequivocally that Trump is a criminal. With any normal politician that means you are done politically. With Trump his base might get off on that and come support him even more. However I do see signs though that Trump isn't totally secure with the GOP and Paul Ryan even though he's publicly still backing him, on a dime will turn on him if it's a choice between Trump loyalty and tax cuts.
yea the left seems to have come to the realization that there is nothing to the Russia-Trump stuff. They will now switch to going for obstruction.
There is an investigation ongoing. This is just getting started. Unlike the Clinton email investigation that has been confirmed closed.
Clearly he needs to retire He is fighting The Cold War Watching him immediately after the election getting excited about confronting Ruasians was not funny It was very sad
Honestly, the biggest news coming out of the entire testimony is Comey acknowledging UNDER OATH that he is guilty of leaking information. When the former head of the FBI is admitting he may have broken the law and the world reacts to this by stating Comey is the only one with integrity in Washington, we have truly arrived at some bizzaro world.
NYT story about Trump collusion with the Russians was fake news per Comey. Trump is not under investigation per Comey NO collusion. Stop wasting tax money.
wait so you believe comey on those two matters but think he's lying about everything else? Bias alert
