Great post except I think you underestimate Love's post-up game.

Love is the kind of guy who can put up great stats on mediocre teams but, at best, he's only the 3rd option on a championship team. This thought applies to almost any player in the NBA that cannot create off the dribble and is such a poor defender.

they would have to unload a lot and get rid of love for paul goerge.

 

This was an epic game...but I wonder if anyone watched???? Glad I watched this epic game...but I doubt many people did and I 'm sure no one is going to want to watch a game 4 except GSW.

Crazy thing is Cavs would be leading 3-0 right now if it was Barnes instead of Durant assuming games went the same way. KD had top 30 finals single game performance in both games 1&2 and they would've obviously lost game 3.

They really needed Durant to win another championship.

 

I think it's quite possible the Cavs don't return to the Finals. IMO, it's ~50% chance.

In the West, it will take injuries to derail the Warriors next season. Their top goals should be to replace Peculiar and re-sign Shaun Livingston.

 

Good question. The type of game LeBron and Kyrie play limits the type of players the Cavs could both add and maximize their offensive skills. They need players that could play defense. And they need players that they could respect. Butler and George would be perfect. Love is their only trade chip. Despite tonight, he's still a great offensive player and a great rebounder.

The Warriors are probably the best defensive team in the NBA (thanks to Ron Adams) and both KD and Draymond are plus defensive players.

Think about it: Even LeBron hasn't been able to abuse either guy in the post in games 1-3.

 

Those two guys are excellent defenders, though. And it's not like they're giving him that many opportunities to post up.

 

I'm not blaming Westbrook for Durant.

I'm blaming Westbrook for Westbrook. Anyone that doesn't see that Curry is far superior to Westbrook is just blind at this point and that this level of domination couldn't be done with a Durant/Westbrook combo...that's just obvious now.

Curry is a better teammate and more efficient player than Westbrook is. The difference is, KD could go 10-31 in either of these games and his team would still win. This isn't just because the Warriors are more talented than those Thunder teams post-Harden...it's because Curry and Durant BOTH allow the team to play as the team. Westbrook simply doesn't.

The offense for KD and Russ was a take turns ISO offense. Yeah, that wasn't going to work.

 

The only fourth quarter that mattered was tonight's. I want to see that isolation against Draymond again that led to the Korver miss and the Durant three seconds later.

 

but people (mainly lebron haters) keep saying love is a superstar power forward tho. that's what he should excel at.

lebron has been able to get buckets on this great defensive team

love should have the favorable matchup in this series but he stays getting punked.

love struggled posting up when he was Minnesota which is why he was so terrible in 4th quarters,

 

fake news because lebron barely played in the 4th quarter in games 1 and 2. and the games were blowouts.

 

well, we can't even get an entertaining finals. The cavs are queens of the least and the Warriors are in their own league.

I don't understand how this is entertaining for even warriors fans. The fun part about organized sports is the competition. Kevin Durant joining the Warriors is like going to the Y and picking up the four regulars and going up against the random's that showed up that day. sure there might be one or two good players on the random team but three of them are going to screw up everything and the games are going to be boring blowouts. this is the NBA.

Yup. Curry took 2 shots in the 1st Quarter??? When's the last time a 2 time MVP and scoring 30 points in the final point guy defer to Klay and KD and let them score because the Cavs were focused on stopping him? Instead of forcing shots, Curry had all 6 of his assists in the 1st quarter while letting Klay being Klay and then KD being KD in the 4th.

It's tough to find a MVP that can dominate by doing nothing but letting his teammates be themselves

 

Yup, If not for KD ruining the NBA, Cavs would have another Ring and LEBRON would be the greatest of all time.

Lebron is averaging 35 points ,15 assists, 10 rebounds, shooting 60% FG and still can't win...That's how good KD is
