Iran attacks: Twin assaults on parliament and shrine rock Tehran

The Supreme Council won't go away any time soon but they still let a guy like Rouhani slip by. He was recently reelected by trouncing a hardliner the Council preferred. Things are going the right direction in Iran. It's a matter of time. The population of Iran wants to join the world and they are getting closer.

On the other hand, Saudi Arabia remains the stale mess it always has been and gets $110 billion in weapons despite spawning most of the Sunni terror groups attacking modern civilization.

 

We should break our alliance with Salafi Arabia. A first step would be to not whine about a Trump tweet regarding the isolation of Qatar - or any possible increase in cheap oil due to his tweets.

Let's not allow the false narrative of "cheap oil" to cheapen our values.

The number of Shia related terror attacks on Western soil = 0 int the past decade.

Shia Islam is pretty benign to to the West besides Israel.

The moderate, relatively speaking, was re-elected as president and was another blow to the hard liners as he defeated the candidate supported by Iran's Revolutionary Guard. Good to see the Green Revolution wasn't for naught as the Supreme Leader is in quite the pickle.
