I have much greater confidence in the Senate investigation than I do of the House investigation. Partly because I have negative confidence in the House. But agreed... Mueller's investigation will be the important one.
Trump threatened to have a War Room to deal with the media blowback. Well, that is out. Trump is now saying that he plans to live tweet the Comey hearing.

Trump isn't fighting this cause he has nothing to do with Russians I hope you guys let this go after Comey testifies
Most people who care about Russian tampering will "let this go" if and when Mueller issues a final report recommending such. No other avenue makes sense unless one is a Trump over country loyalist.
Hopefully everyone that is in government and is investigating this issue, sees this post. We here are all confident you are informed of all the facts and can make such a irrefutable statement.
Comey can't talk about the investigation. He can only talk about his conversations with Trump. Why would anyone let this go before the results of the almost year long investigation into Trump's campaign is concluded?
I'm glad that's fine with you. It seems prudent to a whole lot of people from various parts of the political spectrum. I know you're being facetious, but the fact that he won of course doesn't implicate Trump at all, and I don't see people suggesting that. I guess it needs repeating again? The fact of who won is completely separate from a foreign power making significant attempts to influence our elections, and it is clearly of the highest import to make sure the Russians didn't have any American collaborators in those attempts. FWIW, in terms of winning not being at all correlated to Russian help: The Russians failed massively and maybe even counter-productively in their attempt in France, as did some American groups, FWIW -- Pepe just didn't translate very well. Something about a "frog" I guess. I've seen no hint of evidence that the Don's directly involved in this factual Russian attempt to influence our election. I've always thought the Don would skate free of this mess himself, but there's a lot of smoke around his associates and people in his campaign. He's showing lots of signs of cognitive decline (in that way only is he similar to Reagan), so I've assumed his associates do most of the heavy lifting for him. But speaking of his associates, I still just don't understand why you lie, under oath even, about meeting Russians if it's all hunky-dory, but we'll see. That is the main factor making me personally not "drop it." But for peace of mind: anyone who does want to drop it can pretty much skip the rest of this thread for the rest of time. Or that's what I do when I've dropped a topic.
Comey's testimony is just part of the investigation. Why do some people hinge everything on it? As if he said Trump obstruct, that would be it or if Trump didn't, that's would be it. It's just part of the bigger picture. And of course whatever the testimony, the spins will be wild. Already seeing it. head spinning .. outta here
Then what implicates him of anything If the FBI had a smoking gun do you think would be waiting for the investigation to be completed I'm not being facetious. It's all innuendo at this point I understand you kind of agree but in public opinion he is guilty in a lot of eyes
Let's just look at Jeff Sessions What implicates him of what A Senator met an ambassador. That's normal course of business This issue needs to disappear as soon as possible These guys have enough trouble getting along
You're right. But why not disclose meetings you had with Russian ambassadors when asked considering the allegations of Russian interference with the election? Maybe he thought no one would find out?
That is not at all what that article means. Just like any witness testimony, they do not offer their legal opinion.
That really is what it means. At most it was going to be a "he said she said" situation, now it's not going to even be that. If he's not even going to accuse Trump of any wrongdoing, then his testimony will have no legal impact whatsoever.
