Also, I'm an Astros fan too, but you guys need to slow down on scheduling that parade.

They are having a phenomenal season, but it could be just as disappointing if they lose in the first round of the playoffs. They're having a great regular season, that's all it is right now. Personally, I'll wait to celebrate a championship when they win it, not before.

Yeah, just ask the 2001 Mariners. That's why I'm reluctant to grant them the WS trophy just yet.

This is true, but it's also true the GSW are this to the extreme.
And the current situation is this to the extreme.
GSW with the best 3 year win % ever, with 2 very recent MVPs at their peaks (eg. the last 3 MVPs together), playing the Cavs for the 3rd straight time, which is a first, first 14-0 start in playoff history, historic net win margin, etc.

It's both true to note there has never been much parity and true to note that there has never been less top line parity in the NBA.

I agree, but people need to stop blaming the NBA for this IMO.

Give the Warriors credit here. They have drafted EXTREMELY well, managed their cap even better, and that is why they lured Durant to their team. They are, next to the Spurs, the best run team in the NBA.

    Absolutely.

But a lot of things fell their way, too. They've managed their cap because of Steph's prior injury history leading to a lower deal then they might otherwise have had.
They managed their cap because as a 2nd round pick Draymond was up for a new contract right before contracts exploded, and is now underpaid.
They managed their cap because the best FA outside of Lebron of the past decade was available in the exact same year the cap saw its biggest spike ever, because the players refused to allow cap smoothing, giving the Warriors flexibility. They got lucky in that the Thunder blew a 3-1 lead and frankly they got lucky that they then went on to blow a 3-1 lead (because really, does KD go there if they are coming off a 4-2 Finals victory?)

None of this is their fault. They got lucky, but paved the way for their luck by drafting INCREDIBLY well, and bringing in Kerr.

I've got no hard feelings for the Warriors. I think KD pulled a "b*tch" move, and I can't judge him as an alpha until he proves he can be the alpha of a championship team. Can't fault him for his decision either.

So I've got no qualms with anybody in the story here. I just do as a fan have qualms with the outcome for almost all other fan groups... including the Rockets.

Compared to Curry, Harden is definitely a "me" guy.
