Bro if this low quality post is all you can contribute, you might want to gather yourself and come back when you've settled down.

The irony of you writing this is not lost on the majority of those who read it.

This seemed the best place to post this... my in-laws from California are visiting. Far right wingers... big fans of Trump. I avoid most conversations, and they have been mostly quest on this trip. But mother-in-law is always compelled to let her political thoughts out, so at lunch yesterday she blurted out something to do with Hillary Clinton, emails, and how illegal it all was. Completely out of the blue, she felt the need to let everyone know.

Today at dinner, the need to share again.. and for some reason she was complaining about that Megyn Kelly. How she left Fox for some other channel, and that she was getting a divorce and had some criminal past. Again, just out of the blue.

The father-in-aw walks around with his iPhone and listens to Rush Limbaugh. But again, he stays quiet... he must know that this isn't the right time to say anything about Trump this visit.

Apparently, when I post a perfect example of Virtue Signaling from the Republican party, that's not calling someone out on their hypocrisy, that's merely flinging ****. No wonder no one takes you seriously- fly fly away, Clarisse.

    From the GOP National Platform:

"Foremost among those institutions is the American family. It is the foundation of civil society, and the cornerstone of the family is natural marriage, the union of one man and one woman."

They fling poo at me because I drive them nuts since they are unable to refute my points. It doesn't bother me - it's a sign of their weakness.

Look at the people in this forum...they are nuts. Literally nuts. I am sure your in-laws are good people, but they are drinking the same propaganda these clowns are.

I am just impressed that they never stop to think they might be wrong.

Did I not show you a clear example of the Right's Virtue Signaling? We will accept your lack of a response means you agree with me.

"the action or practice of publicly expressing opinions or sentiments intended to demonstrate one's good character or the moral correctness of one's position on a particular issue."

    1. Republican Platform- a public statement
    2. Marriage Between One Man and One Woman- based on the moral correctness of one's position on the issue of marriage.

    Verdict: BigTexxx fail.

P.S.: I used to call you names. I grew up. You continue to do so. You sunk lower.

    Raise your game.

I think Trump and a lot of the people who support him define themselves by the liberal outrages they are against. They're like sharks, they have to keep swimming in the sea of rage. If they stop picking a fight with all the things they are against, they'll run out of oxygen.

A soft exit from Paris might have been more politic and less messy internationally, but I think he got a ton more play with his base by picking a fight with the liberal MSM and all the liberal Euros. Same thing with the generated fake fight with the London mayor. If Trumpy isn't picking a fight with some liberal, his followers will curl up, loose interest, and die. Trump has to keep on swimming or else, which means doing everything possible to generate outrage to highlight all the things he is against.

I think he did better domestically with his base by picking a fight with all of Europe than he would have done with yours.

Now, to the core idea being peddled by bigtexxx, it is an absolute refusal to believe that the other side actually believes what they say they believe. It's really a failure of imagination coupled by being so far out there that you can't imagine the other side's point of view. Kind of sad, really. I've said the same thing about certain liberals on the bbs who can't imagine that conservatives actually believe what they say they believe, and that all conservatives had some secret memorandum where conservatives all knew that Iraq war was all about stealing oil from Arabs and just didn't want to say it out loud.

It is a failure of imagination that says more about the speaker than anything else.

People can believe things that you don't believe in, and not be running a scam on you, or trying to get over on you, or trying to shame you by claiming to display "virtuous intentions" that they don't really have. Sometimes half the country just believes differently than you do.
