Actually, if/when this happens, I hope its no later than August. I want us to be on a roll towards playoff time.
Cougars playing revenge game vs. Iowa at 4pm today in the Cougar Regional. They can do it. Undefeated in elimination games so far.
Yes they are road games. Google is your friend. Perhaps they were talking about the Astros longest streak.
I remember that '84 tiger team that started 37-9. They went through some clunky parts of the season before finishing strong and dominating in the playoffs. Same with the Cubs (only they did not dominate the indians) last year. The only team I don't remember going through any bad stretch was that 116 win seattle team. And they were stopped cold in the playoffs. Lets go through a little adversity at some point. It humbles and refocuses the players.
Is adversity really an issue? The Game 4 loss vs KC was historically bad. Rangers dominance the past two seasons was beyond imaginable. Since then.. they've added veteran hitters, the younger players improved, and are flipping the Ranger script already. Not saying we don't need a hiccup, it just doesn't seem they do.
Maybe it was an Astros streak. I did try Google, but couldn't find specifically road games only. Just thought someone might know what they were talking about during the game yesterday.
No adversity. I want to totally dominate the season, set the record, sweep the series, and go down in history as the best baseball team ever formed, take the Yankees out to the woodshed, and deliver the message to the world that we are the greatest dynasty in sports history. Stay humble, but hungry.
Thanks Comcast. The only thing that made those down seasons bearable was I couldnt watch because i had directv. I hated missing the Rockets though. I went to bars to watch and drank way too much.
