Oh boy. Thank goodness. It would have been a really bad look for me if the Astros lose the day I start front running. That was a pretty entertaining game and I'm not a baseball guy at all.
too exciting for my liking! mas boring! it baffles me how people say baseball is so boring. It's the most intense nail biting sport, every little moment has a butterfly effect. first to 40! I'll be to tuning the rangers post game show to hear them whine more about hodor, that and they might be bastards in dallas but they do put passion to their caller feedback postgames.
We didn't win 5-1, but, that was a great test for our late inning guys....... Hoyt > Gregerson?? To be continued.....
During the playoffs, every pitch is HUGE for me....insanely intense. I try to convey that to my friends that think baseball is boring, but if you dont understand the game, then it's impossible to grasp how exciting baseball can be.
Hoyt has been really impressive. Hopefully everyone gives him a break when he inevitably has a rough outing..but I think Hinch is trusting him more and he's a guy that can strike out the side. The whole bullpen (minus Sipp) is pretty dang impressive. Even Luke has his good days.
Not a baseball guy, but it was truly amazing how one error by Correa completely changed the game that looked like it was going to be a blowout.
yeah McCullers seemed to let the mental aspect of the game get to him. It would seem that he was definitely bothered by it. Amazing he had 8 KOs and couldn't finish out the 5th.
agreed. i can understand if people say that about regular season baseball, but playoff baseball is a new beast.
Jesus Christ, we're 40-16. The 116 win Mariners of 15 years ago played .716 for the season. After the win tonight we're playing .714 ball. I say we don't break that record, but a good 108-54 season is nothing to scoff at. We're going to be lapping the field for the rest of this summer, no team will be within 10 games of us by the end of the season (maybe the Nats)
