One of my favorite Ryan stories is from Moneyball. A couple of the coaches were talking with Durham about their stolen base totals and how Durham wasn't allowed to steal. Durham asked if there was a situation that they didn't steal back in the day. They said they were scared to steal on Ryan. They were worried he would bean them the next time they faced him.
