Right now, you can do something - everyone here can do something - to lower their carbon footprint.

Do these people here, whining about Trump, actually take on the personal responsibility of lowering their carbon footprint? As seen by FranchiseBlade: NO.

I don't think it is unreasonable to claim that climate change is nearly 100% a political issue when you have people like CF members who won't, don't, and refuse to do anything to reduce their own carbon footprint. Honestly, what are they waiting for?

I think it's really shitty to blame the individual who doesn't have billions of dollars in resources while praising our government easing of on multi-billion dollar corporations.

I completely agree. Leftist seem to have this notion that if a business produces something, we are forced to consume it. Yes, the manufactures/producers should do their best to reduce emissions, but as individuals, we should be doing the same. Leftist often do not want to take responsibility for the agenda's they push.

Is there any empirical data you have that suggests that lefitists are less proactive in their individual energy consumption awareness as individuals than rightists?

Or is this one of those 'from the gut' hot takes of yours?

All of this is irrelevant to the arguments presented in this thread, a pretty good deflection technique though.

Yes, keep going. You won't let go of the idea that if a person isn't a vegan their arguments for all other measures of combatting climate change become invalid. It's a logical fallacy and is hilarious that you won't let go.

You may not like the idea but it is true that people might still eat meat products and also support other measures that combat global warming.

What you are saying is the equivalent of telling people who eat sweets a couple of times a week that they can't exercise regularly because they aren't taking responsibility for cutting out their two desserts they eat each week. It's a silly position and is nothing more than a distraction from this thread topic.

I have a solution to global warming. Everyone go vegan. It's the only solution and it's realistic. Lol. Honestly isn't a value in some.

Also, we keep hearing in this thread about how "Well, of course Elon Musk thinks this way, he just lost a lot of money."

Why then don't we hear this from the other POV? Be honest.

Now, I keep hearing about this big conspiracy from the right about how those in favor of battling climate change are paid and bought for...yet it looks like they have it wrong. The conspiracy here is on the right, their politicians take money to keep the status quo and they perform as expected when you look at the donations.

Wait a minute, I thought Trump says it was a "hoax"

Haley: 'President Trump believes the climate is changing'
    http://www.cnn.com/2017/06/03/politics/nikki-haley-donald-trump-climate-change-cnntv/index.html

Funny how they keep trotting out new faces to defend his move. And the latest spin... the Paris Agreement was simply a "club."

Lol.... Sticking with that same lame argument. Amusing since you argued pretty heavily against AGW in other threads. Did you read how to use this argument on a website? Blame folks for not being environmental enough....

Instead of poor arguments and absolutes, what if people cut meat out of their diet 2 days a week?

Interesting... can you produce that proposal? I know he said he would consider renegotiating in the future, but...

That said, reaction to his statement was swift and direct...

If Trump actually wanted to renegotiate the Paris agreement, he just shot himself in the foot

He hasn't laid them out yet. He just announced this whole deal last week - I guess the liberals aren't willing to give him any time, they'd rather just b!tch and moan, like usual.

... the Paris Accord didn't come out of nowhere... This is another instance of Trump not fundamentally understanding something since you can't renegotiate once you are out. Furthermore, Trump had the power to renegotiate America's role while still belonging to it.

It's simply another instance of Trump looking like an amateur. What's the point of Perry and Tillerson if you won't listen to them?

Well Trump is uniting the world. Everybody Agrees he is an idiot.

Even the Dutch government said that this changes our relationship with the us. And they have been a faithful lapdog for years.
