    This is disappointing, especially after how intense the first quarter was, but it doesn't necessarily mean the series is over.

    2016 NBA Finals
    Game 1: GSW 104 d CLE 89
    Game 2: GSW 110 d CLE 77

    While this is no doubt a flogging, recent history tells us that we shouldn't count Lebron out entirely

    Klay always guard the best player...of course the metric ain't going to be great when you have to great Kyrie, Harden, WestBrook, and Lillard.

    How do you beat golden state? What's the formula?

    I'm thinking it will take a Detroit bad boys style team. Extremely physical and slightly psychotic. Not caring about any fouls or repercussions, just hard physical play while accepting the role of the bad guy.

    But it would have to be mixed with new age potent offensive efficiency

    Now one of those teams added an MVP / scoring champ

    I just dont see how you can defend this team.

    One thing about great defense isn't just the stats of the player you're guarding. Its also about how hard the opposing player has to work to get his stats.

    If you have a scrub defender and the opposing offensive player is scoring with ease, he has more energy to play longer and more energy on defense. If you have a great defender making the opposing offensive player work for his scores, it might still affect his energy level and his energy on defense.

    This aspect is not easily captured in stats.

    maybe if Memphis replaced Parsons with Paul George and added another great player they'd be able to take out GS...it would take some unrealistic stuff like that to happen
