No one cares about basketball until the playoffs begin.

    Except for a select few.

The way we treat our stars (as fans), I can see this

All you have to look at is where Portland, Utah and Memphis are to know this study is bullshit. This list means nothing, how do you quantify loyalty? Attendance? Social media activity? Merch sales? I know plenty of die hard Rox fans that don't have social media, don't buy merch and don't go to games but they watch every second of every game even if it hurts, you can't quantify that in a Harvard study

dumb ass chart from a dumb ass fart

but yeah casual rockets fans are weak asf. it was like this in the tmac/yao era, and it hasnt changed. houston is more about football, even college football, than nba.

I actually think it's the reverse of your narrative. Playing in Houston is relatively easier than those extremely rabid loyal fans in major cities. The media is and the fan base is much more harsh to players in towns like Boston and NY.

Stars are actually treated well here relatively by the Houston media and fans.

Harden would have his ass chewed out by Boston fans.

If going purely by Clutchfans then the Rockets should be ranked dead last.

Face it CF most people in Houston are football fans. I have 3 married sibs one close cousin, 10 neices & nephews from 15-25 yrs old, my Mom, my nephew, & me follow NBA. the others like football or baseball, 2 are heavy into Volleyball. It's sad, however I'm sure many of you have similar situations. My relatives in OKC are big fans since the storm sent the Hornets there, but then there's not a lot to do in OKC. Sorry for the rant. Everyone should love the Rockets like we do.

I've said it for 15 years on this board- Houston is a fair-weathered city.

This is the definition of Houston.
Craig Biggio and Bagwell could be running a teen prostitution ring and still have Houstonians supporting them.

I think I know what it is but I'm not going to just say it.

That doesn't shock me. Harden wasn't the only one who didn't show up to game 6 against the spurs. I'm sick of fans blaming Les and ticket prices, just admit it, you like other teams more. You find me a job in Htown, and I will buy season tickets before we even sign a lease on a house. ****, I'll live outside toyota center if I have to.

They should do a study on fan-based bbs loyalty. That'll tell them something! :p
